Good evening, May. I have been watching your videos very much. Thank you for your videos. I am planning to open my care agency. How can I start it please.
Hie Mary , i have a quick question , can a bachelor of medicine and surgery (MBBS) graduate become a care home manager ? Please share if there is a pathway that allows for that transition and if there would be a qualification one can get to improve their chances for such a transition.
Hi Emmanuel, I will say having your BSc is a plus. Though your BSc is not in health and social care or management but it might be acceptable. However experience is another factor. CQC might still allow you to register and work towards increasing your knowledge and gaining experience. It’s all about finding the right employer willing to employ you as you work your way to gain experience in the sector. If you haven’t done relevant courses Nor have an experience in the field (managerial) it will be difficult. So I have BSc biomedical sciences But I have to still do my Level 5 whilst I was a care supervisor and I’ve been working in health care for 7yrs. Managerial position for 2yrs before becoming a registered manager

Thanks for watching and engaging. You'd need a consultation for starting a care agency 😊
