Just opened mine. My initial impressions are pretty positive overall. I'm not sure how I feel about the recurve in the belly, it wasn't as noticeable in the photos. It's subtle but noticeable at the same time. Subtle enough that I think I can live with it, and I generally do not care for recurve blades. I'm with you on the value proposition. Cpm magnacut, made in USA, edc sized, decent sheath, and under $250. I'm curious, what is that drop point you used?
How are you liking this knife? For some reason, your video is the only video that shows up on youtube with this model. I'm kinda surprised there isn't more or any reviews of it.
@@Cid_1 I like it a lot. The magnacut blade is a workhorse. I used it to unbox a lot of my packages and other stuff. Still screaming sharp. I am surprised about that as well. I guess people are more into folding knives as their EDC than fixed blades.
@@TJ_EDC_Life That's good to hear, it looks great and seems to come down to a reasonable thin edge. Yeah it might be. But I feel like fixed blades are really popular, and they seem to always get a boost from around September - May (especially here in Europe/Scandinavia). If you wanna get some extra views, put up a review of it. Cause I'm sure there are more people interested, but are holding off since they can't find much info about it.
I think it’s because it doesn’t quite fit in any fixed blade genre. It’s not a pocket fixed blade. It’s not an outdoors fixed blade. It’s not really an EDC fixed blade. It’s not a combat/tactical fixed blade. But it could do all of those things reasonably well. I just ordered one though. It’s a cool knife and I love Tactile’s knives.
@@Mo.89. Yeah, I think a lot of people get too worried about "knife roles" instead of just using knives for what they are. I'm Norwegian, so things might be a bit different. For a long time, we just used regular belt knives. Most Norwegian belt knives are based on old tallow knives; the Norwegian translation of a Norwegian Tolle Kniv is a tallow knife. They usually come with a blade size of 75mm - 120mm. And the same really goes for the old Mora Classic's. And this Tactile knife fits that role pretty well, plus it looks really good. I think certain communities are too worried about an EDC knife needing to be small, but in reality, an EDC knife is a knife that can do all one's daily tasks. But that's just my opinion and thoughts on it. I do agree it's a really cool knife.
It's a nice knife but not something id buy as i wouldn't carry something that large for efc. And if im buying a larger knife it would be a hand made knife from one the many great fixed blade makers. Id like to see a true edc fixed blade around 6.5" with a minimal fold over kydex sheath for discrete carry options.

Thanks for sharing your experience. The drop point fixed blade I used to unbox this knife is Pete’s Pirate Knife V1.

@@Cid_1 thanks for the input and suggestion. I will plan on doing a full review on that knife soon. Stay tuned.

Thanks for the review. Maybe add some distance between you and your mic.
You’re welcome. Thanks for the advice. I will definitely do that.
Damn I just got a white river fc 3.5, which is more practical but this is cool AF
Yep. Pretty cool for sure.
@TJ_EDC_Life which method would you use to sharpen this curvature of blade?

Can you post it on you’re belt
@@YeeHawSnaps yes. You can put it on your belt using the included kydex sheath.
@@TJ_EDC_Life I know I just wanted to see what it looked like. How it sits
@@YeeHawSnaps send me a dm on instagram. I can send a picture or a short video showing how it sits on a belt. My instagram is @tj_edc_life

What fixed blade would you recommend for EDC, Chris?
