in these weather and marine conditions, what characteristics should the safest, seaworthy and navigation-friendly kayak have: be maneuverable or directional? be narrow and fast or wide and stable? Thank you

For exemple would be better a dagger stratos, valley gemini or a valley sirona, northshore atlantic?

Most sea kayaks that are good for surfing and rock hopping are short (4.0 to 5.0 meters) and somewhat wide (52-60 cm).
My Valley Gemini is 4.5 meters long and 54 cm wide and with a lot of rocker. That is important for taking the waves and turning quickly. If it's tracking to good it's to hard to turn. So, a lot of rocker and a skegg for when you just want to go straight.

Thank you but I don't understand If a surf and rockhopping kayak is a good sailing touring kayak in rough water too. Can you explain me?

@@massimoaugua kayak good for rough waters is good in all types of rough waters. And this are sea kayaks, so they are ok for touring also but usually not very fast kayaks.
It's like my Anas Acuta. Very good for surfing, touring and rolling. It's not the best for everything but good at everything.
