Thanks for this review. As a current owner of a 2024 Ultra Bee, I'm relieved that the 2025 upgrades aren't that significant. I just hate buying something and investing into expensive upgrades only to see later than the manufacturer obsoletes the previous version. That is so dis-heartening. I can add a TC1000 controller and pretty much be even with this new version.
Good review & I agree with your assessment here. I have a '24 UB and I really like it especially w/ the W9 18/21 wheelset. The biggest upgrade I'd like to see is more range. I get 30-35 miles of range on singletrack primarily in 'D' mode. I'd love to see a 25-30% increase in range in addition to the other upgrades Sur Ron has put into the 25 model or the Storm Bee that weighs a LOT less.
i really do hope that the storm bee gets updated with more power and less weight, it makes no sense to spend 9k when you can get this new ultra bee for 6499.
Thanks for another video mate. And the heads-up on this :) The 2024 version is super fun to ride on the roads over here in NSW, Australia. I’m looking forward to seeing how the 2025 compares to it.
Thinking about getting the 2024 ultra bee or the Altis Sigma. Im new to e bikes. Not looking to ride fast just fun trail exploring. Which of those two i mentioned has the better suspension and range.
And I almost got a UB back in December, glad I waited. Plus desert tan....ohhh buddy. Rode a freeride a couple times in November on some single track and have been jonesin for lighter counterpart to my 350. Still will have to get the 21 front though...I get it, a 21 impacts range...but still...
I'm wondering if the new controller will let you change battery or lock you to stock battery due to voltage limit. The risk is having half upgraded bike like the Talaria MX4 vs MX3. You had slightly better brakes, suspension, power and range but you ended up changing brake, suspension, controller and battery because none of them were good enough. Hence making MX4 upgrades pretty much useless. This could also happen here if upgrading battery also implies changing controller then you would loose benefit of stock upgrade.
the range numbers come from low speed at optimal conditions. going 10-15mph gets me 50 miles on my mx4. its just like when car companies advertise MPG numbers, but no one gets those numbers unless you drive like a grandma.
How can adding a 21in front rim increase the cost of production? That’s not correct. Surron may be trying to keep production costs down as every manufacturing company does but to say that’s why they haven’t added a 21in front rim is not true. To switch the 19in front rim for a 21in front rim during production is a minimal cost a few dollars if any. It just doesn’t make sense why Surron wouldn’t do what the people want. At least offer different wheel sizes at time of purchase so people don’t have to go and spend another $500 for 1 rim replacement. It really is a head scratcher A 19in and a 18in rim set is not correct. And I don’t know why these manufacturers are being so stubborn to create a bike that doesn’t have to be immediately upgraded after purchase. If they are so set on using a stupid 19 inch front rim, then they should have the courtesy to add a 16 inch rim on the rear. It’s just uncommon sense.
already bought my 2025 ultra bee for $6499, and one thing I wanted to mention is if you are riding street your going to get way more miles than what this guy is saying, riding trails and mx tracks kill your battery life almost 2x more than it would on the street, just wanted to let people know just incase they were worried about mileage for commuting/wheelies
Figured trail range would be like 20-25miles. Worth investing in a spare battery you if have the $$$ and can swap out. Of course they misrepresent range, almost all vehicles do. Range is usually based on an controlled environment/parameters. Going exactly 31mph, with optimal tire pressure, no variation in throttle, on a flat road with a tailwind....will get you 71 miles.
It is not alternative to ultra. I own E ride pro SS 2.0 and Ultra Bee both. Same power but E ride is just a toy compare to ultra. SR built on same small motorised bycicle chasis as SS.

Fair call mate. Definitely needs more range!

I think it's a significant upgrade. 18kw on the stock controller and still have traction control and regen mode buttons

Pretty good.
But two dumb things are keeping that belt and not having 21 inch wheel in the front.
I was looking at buying an Ultra Bee next month maybe i should wait for the new model

No reason to get the Sigma for trail riding

Ordered the SR with 25kw and even lighter 😎
E ride ? It is not alternative to ultra bee. SR is pointlessly powerful bycicle. Ultra is a midsize motorcycle.

Great vid bro
Add two minute and 55 seconds that was me earlier today damn my tailbone hurts
What about racing kit? It must release by now!
@BARBATUS1300 I heard they were going to do a dropping kit too. But I haven't seen them comment on it yet
Im curious on what's the difference this version and the Ultra Bee R. ?
Just a different tyre. 😊

This buy is such a nice toy!

My guy 70 miles at 30mph is absolutely possible on roads, every manufacturer likes to show the highest range possible.
Can I get a surron or any bike
@@sinencipha4200 all it takes is money, my friend
Essentially the 2025 ultra bee is gonna be the price of a average car
I thought the price was announced at $6499
I wish the average price of a car was $6499 and not $42,000.
Two stroke is better
