Hi there. How early do you recommend getting to the metro if planning to park there? I see there are ~600 spots for the Morgan Blvd station and this is my top option.
Is it true that the lots open at 12? How is it possible to tailgate that late?
No the lots opens as early as 8am I believe
Why do you suggest waiting to by tickets a week before. Im looking for club seats for me and the wife. Or do you recommend lower level?
club level is definitely a more chill vibe and perfect for dates or families. lower level is more hype and typically you’re only down there for the game. club level has lounges and better food for a better experience.
as far as buying tickets, sellers look at demand. commanders tickets never sell at face value really. so usually the price keeps lowering to meet demand, which usually peaks in the final week. i went to the WAS JAX game last night. the tickets i got were selling last month for $90. i got them for $63 the night before.
be careful for high demand games like cowboys or eagles tho. they usually might peak 1-2 weeks in advance.
Can you buy on site parking the day of the game? We plan on tailgating and we don't have a parking pass. Do we need to buy that a head of time?
there are a few cash lots available close to the stadium. But they are definitely further back. You cannot really buy any of the "onsite" parking the same day such as the green, orange, and purple lots. I still would choose a cash lot if you cant find a pass for $50 or under.
What lot would you suggest if I’m driving back to DC after? Also you mentioned the main lots not being too bad to get out of. About 30 mins you would guess?

sorry for the late reply, but honestly I would recommend the metro lot at the Morgan blvd station. Only about $20 to park and not hard to get in or out. Only concern is the long walk to the stadium, about 1 mile. It definitely beats paying the $65 for parking tho! and youre further away from the mess of cars when you leave

hey there, curious is there any special procedures to parking at the metro? do you pay up front through a gate or can I just pull up and park and then pay at a toll on the way out? first game at Fedex Field tomorrow, thanks!

@@AutomotiveCam I did, the metro parking is open. you pull through, park, no pay. when you return there is an electric booth you pay at on your way out i know it takes card but I forget if it takes cash
Where is a cash lot
hey! cash lots are all over the area. You usually can't search them on google. But there are signs for them on the highway overhead signs. Also as you drive closer to the stadium you will see them

Can you reserve a spot for the parking at the metro?
You cannot reserve unfortunately. However, I’ve parked there for years now and showed up 30 minutes prior to game time and there were plenty of spots
