    Hi guys! In this tutorial, we're going to be making a fluffy Circle Petticoat using bedsheets! This petticoat is perfect for adding a little extra fluff to your cosplay outfit, and it's really easy to make!

    Those sheets really were the perfect colour! I like how the blue gets deeper with each tier closer to the hem. And I agree that it's worth adding a bit more ruffle rather than cutting off just a little of the fabric and having no project for it - even if ruffling *is* So Time Consuming.
    Another petticoat method to consider is the corded petticoat - I've seen them mentioned on historical costuming blogs, and I accidentally did something like it last summer when I put some corded piping at the top of a ruffle on a skirt hem. Running a cord around the circumference encourages the skirt to flare out, without being as stiff as a hoop skirt or as wide as horsehair braid.

      I'm actually planning on trying a type of chording petticoat with my next cosplay to help reduce the layers of tulle I need as it's one I'm going to wear in summer so I will let you know how it goes :)

    It’s fantabulous!!! I know that was a crazy amount of work but it looks incredible with that thick full ruffle. And I’m guessing the swoosh is much nicer than it would be with stiffer material.
