I don’t understand why this sport isn’t more popular. These guys perform some amazing feats.
cause all the corporate sports like football, basketball, and hockey dominate the industry and don't want to lose money so they sabotage. But really i don't know.
it depends where are you from in spain and uk its popular
I'd say, any sport where the refs can change who wins, shouldn't be popular.
But, most sports have that issue...
because typically a viewer base is also a practitioner of the sport. not many people do trials compared to the amount of people who kicked a soccerball
@@Psyrecx I think this is a good point actually. While of course other sports have issues with officiating, you still know when the ball goes through the hoop or in to the endzone. With this it's entirely subjective

Actually he is in thw right spot. There is enough space there if you notice and had he fallen from up there he might have hurt his neck or back.

I love trials. I been watching it since the 90s. If you think this is crazy checkout extreme unicycling. I couldn't believe my eyes. They do trials type stuff and downhill.

They should really have huge padding on the side of the highest obstacles to protect rider and bike.
I'd imagine these guys have spent plenty of time learning how to bail properly. I think Tony Hawk said something once about how the most important skill for a skateboarder is knowing how to bail

Incredible skill.Im curious as I dont know much about this but 1-what does the bike weigh? 2-does the guy in the matching uniform actually ever ride or is he kind of the equivelant of the co driver in rally cars?
Seems more like a spotter
Bikes weigh between 65-80kgs. The other would either be a retired rider or just not as skilled. Mainly there to catch if the rider falls.

I was a spectator at a trials event just North of Hempstead, Texas in the mid-70's. There was one trap where you had to climb a very steep creek bank...maybe 8-10 feet high. As soon as you got to the top, you had to make an immediate left, travel 6 feet or so, then descend the same creek bank. We watched rider after rider try to negotiate the trap without putting a foot down. None were able to do so. The riders were moving to the next trap, with the crowd of spectators following, when a guy on a Honda 750 came riding up behind us. He climbed the creek bank, turned, and descended...without touching. We all looked at each other, and burst out laughing. The guy on the Honda just smiled and rode on to the next trap.

Trial motorcycle as already mentioned in the titel, mostly they ride 290ccm or 280ccm, tony bou has 4T and raga 2T

What I don't get is who makes designs the course? I'm guessing its riders but what when is something considered impossible? Like do riders try it, none make it, and they adjust it so its a bit easier?
