NDSU is the Alabama of the FCS. Kansas State has recruited some guys from there. No shortage of talent, toughness and disciplined players with the Bison. I watched Niweiski’s tape and this guy is a tackling machine and ball hawk. Difficult to get both with a DB. Texas Tech is swinging for the fences and I love it.
NDSU has won 9 of the last 13 FCS championships! That, is quality production! I remember yhem beating K State a few yesrs ago on opening day and K State was in the running for the BXII championship that year!!
NDSU is a perennial powerhouse in the FCS. They are one might say, the best JUCO to pull talent from for Tech. This is def. a nice get. Hope we can say Micah who with ease next season. Tech hitting the portal like he don't matter and hitting the trenches on the O side for good! Wonder what the young guys pretty highly recruited guys are thinking. Maybe these old guys will make the Ellis, Hendrix, and Ponton types want it even more. Just good moves from the staff.
They wouldn’t risk a limited roster spot on someone who won’t play due to injury. There was talk on him playing in the playoffs with NDSU this year and by the time next season starts, he would’ve had over a year to recover from a surgery that only takes a few months to recover from. Good pickup!
Personally, I don't care what school or size of school a player is from, I care about what they can do. Potential is for high school recruits, production is what we need out of the portal. I like these first two portal commitments and hope we get many more!

What people don't understand these players from smaller schools can make it in bigger schools and in the NFL look at jerry Rice came from a small college
I’ve seen multiple articles with him listed from anywhere from 205-218. I went with the lower side of it because it made more sense to be conservative. Pop off tho

Awesome news
Multiple NFL scouts have said he will play on Sundays. “Ball hawk head hunter” was the phrase used. Home run pickup.

NDSU players are tough. Glad to have him. Another good player.
This guy can be all conference!
We need DB help bad. This is a great pick up
Another solid pick up

100% agree
Both signees are studs. Great job on this.

Thus far both pick ups have concerning injury history. Very solid potential though for both of them.
I hear you. Tech recently has had more than their fair share of injuries in most sports everywhere. But you have to take your chances with talent.
This is a huge pickup, the only issue is injury history.
Agreed, but I think this is worth the “risk”
I think they have him listed at 6'4" 220 safety ( Baskerville replacement)
@@anthonymartinez8539 yeah I’ve seen multiple weights for him ranging from 205 to 220 so I just went with the smaller side
I think a wisneiski and Lewis pairing at safety will be very solid. Should also create plenty of turnovers

He is listed at 215 or 218 lbs…it is baffling that you would state his weight as 205 lbs

Pop off tho
FCS *yawn*
