You should know, it's better to mine when is nightime, because the majority of the mobs (tall man, skeleton, zombers, spiders) will spawn out in land. Reducing the mobs spawning in caves.
Also, congrats, you've progressed so much in such a short time. Loving this series.
“You were not supposed to die.” Uh, dude, you punched Drew INTO LAVA. That is maybe a little bit unrealistic/irrational, don’t you think?
Some heads up for the Nether:
- you mostly don't need torches as the whole place is quite lit up (you can use them as markers though)
- wear something golden (gold boots for example) as there are piglins, who love gold and won't attack you if you wear some
- you'll need materials for building bridges in the Nether, so bring a few stacks of cobblestone
- wood is scarce in there, so bring some for crafting
- you can find netherite in there, which is more superior to diamonds
- in the Nether you'll be looking for nether fortresses, which give you the materials needed to meet the dragon
- one step in the nether corresponds to 8 steps in the overworld, which means if you enter a portal, travel 100 blocks in the nether and go out through another portal you'll have traveled roughly 800 blocks in the overworld (basically you can use the nether as a fast form of transportation between places in the overworld).

i think that we, the players who have a lot of experience in minecraft, find these videos of people with less experience, more entertaining, than idk watching some redstone tutorials or crazy builds by other experienced minecrafters... paradox
For the minecraft itself, yes def.
But things like Hermicraft and redstone programmers are entertaining by the absurdness.
Before you guys mine more diamonds, you really should Enchant a Pickaxe with Fortune 1/Fortune 2/Fortune 3-an enchantment that increases the drops you get from mining.
You will need to craft an enchanting table using 1 book, 2 Diamonds, and 4 Obsidian
Ideally, you would also surround the enchanting table with 15 bookshelves (craft with 6 planks and 3 books each) in a C-shape:

Once crafted and placed, use the Enchanting Table in combination with Lapis and an existing tool to give that tool an enchantment. Enchantments are randomly rolled, so you might not get a good one at first, just keep enchanting (with a tool you don't care about) and try again.
Also Mending and Efficiency, but yeah, Fortune 3 is the most important for diamonds.
YES! Get enough ore items to be comfortably safe in the game (including 5 diamonds… 3 for pick, two for enchanting table), then work towards enchanting the diamond pick to Looting 3, minimum. THEN mine more ores with that pick and prosper! Get enchanted diamond armor and bow before building portal and going to nether.
Tip❗️ 38:51 : you don’t have to sleep in caves it doesn’t reduce the amount of enemies since it’s always dark. The deeper you go and the more players are in the same area the more enemies spawn.
Tip❗️: before you stop to mine in a cave go forward a bit more in the cave to clear any enemies ahead so they don’t sneak up on you and light the section so they don’t spawn. Makes mining way safer.
21:16 Looks like the cave is passing through an iron vein! So you might even find blocks of raw iron there not just iron ore. That is why there is a lot more iron then usual.
ore veins are large branching structures of iron or copper, iron will also have lots of tuff and copper will have lost of granite.
You will find even more iron if you dig into where the tuff (the lighter stone that is ever so slightly green tinted) is.
Losing all that stuff in lava GENUINELY pissed me off! It was not worth the "joke".

38:38 this is wrong, sleeping in the caves will not give you less mobs but more mobs. Sleeping makes it day and in the day the surface is light meaning no mobs spawn ON THE SURFACE. If the surface is dark(night) then some of the mobs can spawn on the surface(where you are not at) instead of in the caves.
Tip❗️: look up a lot when mining. It’s easy to miss ores above you.
It looks like your ready to start thinking about enchantments....you need to breed and murder cows to gather leather...and grow alot of sugarcane to make paper...with leather and paper you can make books...with books you can make bookshelves the bookshelves buff the enchanting table(recipe: obsidian diamonds and books)...once you have 15 bookshelves 1 block away from your enchanting table you can enchant items with max enchants provided you have 30levels
One thing that I really didn't like about the last live stream was chat giving way too much info simultaneously. The biggest thing about Minecraft is that you can do things in many different ways, you have so many options! So chat listing ALL of the options must have been very overwhelming. It was to me (while thinking of how to simplify things for a new player and seeing chat do the opposite), so I can only imagine for the streamer 😵💫. I don't think you need to call chat out, not at all, but you could help them "organize", and focus on how to do this one thing that you're trying to do, but avoid deviating from it or adding suggestions of alternatives or different things.
I'm 40 and I started playing Minecraft two years ago, so maybe I have a better idea of what helps progress, and what is information OVERLOAD.
Like when you enter a Lush cave for the first time, ppl should let you explore it. Maybe just insist that you STAY and look around, in case you leave right away (which you do a lot). And just see if you're catching up before bombarding with new info... ADHD is not as fun at 40 as it was in my 20s :P And if there's no point to explore it much, thaty ok too. Like... you didn't need anything from there. Snd you don't need what's in there either, it's good enough if you remember there was a Lush cave, in case you neef it later, or chat tells you to go there to get smth.
I actually left mid stream because it was getting too late (Europe) and too exhausting for me because of the comlete chaos (not the good/funny kind)... I'm back finally to see how much you progressed after dying.
Chat missed the opportunity to insist that you look for good chests when you passed them, like ruined portals where you were early in the stream. It's easy to ignore and forget about it, unless chat tells you that very important thing. When I left, you failed to go to a couple of ruined portals despite seeing them, you still couldn't use a fishing rod (how I get saddles), you didn't go to the lava pool to make obsidian which would take a minute, versus taking hours if you go away and need to search again. Just examples of zero focus from chat mainly imo... There's a lot to do in Minecraft when you know it like a palm of your hand, so imagine when you don't know anything yet! You need to progress... but at your own pace of course. But still progress.
P.S. I just heard chat tell you that you can use a lead to drag whatever... Why? 😭 You don't need it now, you're not close yo find a lead or have anything to drag. By the time you need it, you won't remember that info, it just serves to distract now (you don't need more distractions imo 😅).

The cave systems in minecraft are often extremely massive, yes.
USE CHARCOAL, NOT COAL! Just throw some logs in both parts of the furnace. Also cut down the trees fully so they drop saplings. leaving the top in them is a waste not to mention looks weird. :P
Water must flow onto lava to produce obsidian. Placing water in lava will replace the lava with water while deleting the lava.
Also, when you break torches it wears on your tools. Switch over to an item that doesn't have durability to save your tools; at least until you get mending (repairs from xp) and Unbreaking 3 enchantments on them.
Future tips: a bow for things flying in the neather. Don't hit a zombie piglin as all zombie piglins within 35 blocks will come to avenge the infraction. Wearing gold armor will keep a piglin (non-zombie) from attacking unless you a) open a chest or b) break a gold ore block. If you make it to a bastion then piglin brutes will attack unconditionally with an axe; which ignores your shield (2 or 3 hits = death). Avoid large pigs (hoglins). Oh, and don't fall off or through the floor you arrive on as the floor is likely far and is likely lava. Primary goal in the neather will be finding a fortress and getting blaze rods from blazes (flying golden fire launchers). Can be used to make potions (especially fire resistance) and eyes of ender (mixed with ender pearls from endermen; used to locate a stronghold which houses an end portal. Bring resources for extra ender eyes.)
Breaking torches does NOT wear on tools.
That was changed a LONG time ago (1.3.1 released August 1, 2012, so you know 12 years ago) now anything that instantly breaks with a click from an empty hand won't damage tools.
@@Spikeba11, I appreciate the information! Had to stop and confirm this this morning; both java and bedrock don't wear on tools for torches. Also means I can reduce the number of button presses while mining. Thank you! Had to have picked that up on one of those '100 things you didn't know about minecraft' videos that was referencing history.
@@Spikeba11 He shouldn't be breaking torches anyway, they show where you've already been so you don't end up going in circles as much. He needs to learn how to make charcoal so he can have unlimited torches instead of wasting coal.
@@SWRDMaster I just remembered it form reading the change log 12 years ago, it is an important change, not needing to switch away from a tool to save it's durability.

I actually got so mad when Minik pushed Drew into the lava but I do have to admit that it's part of the Minecraft experience to at least once lose everything to lava and have to start from the original spawn point with nothing
You can get obsidians by pouring water on a lavapool,then you should mine the obsidians with a diamond pickaxe.After that,you should make a nether portal by placing 4 obsidians at the bottom and top,and 5 at left and right(4x5 or 2x3 if you want to not waste obsidians,you can just place another block type instead of the extra obsidian at the edge where two directions meet).

u can use shears to right click a pumkin and then make a T on the ground from iron blocks then put the carved pumkin on top of the T and u got an iron golem.
I just finished part 11. Are you still wasting coal on torches? You can make charcoal by smelting logs, and you can grow new trees with saplings, so charcoal is an infinite resource. Make torches from CHARCOAL, NOT COAL.
Also you should never take down torches you placed unless you misplaced them, because they will tell you where you've already been and keep monsters from spawning. You should place them every 5 or 6 blocks, otherwise the light level in your tunnels will be too low in some places and monsters will still spawn.

The chat kinda being way too impatient. Although i can understand why some of them are being like that i can also understand they shouldn't be acting like that. 😞 Love the content still just a little minus that didn't need to be there 😕
Partially they are too impatient but honestly when he blows right past diamonds or something, I question his powers of observation and in those cases the chat people are really helping him out. Last episode he placed a torch two blocks away from some diamond ore and it wasn't until like 10 people in chat yelled at him that he went back and found it.
