29 was by far my hardest year, too. Felt like I was dying. Lost my mom and my fiancee walked out and threw the towel in with no warning. So ready to turn 30 in 2 days! I know good things are coming ❤
I was a slow developer. Didn't find myself and my purpose #CarlyPearce until I was sixty. Better late than never. I am loving your incredible music young lady. 😊❤🎸👍
60 now, but God knows I was lost at 29 . It got better when I met my future wife at 30. Been married 27 years now. Carly's clear beautiful voice makes me glad I have a nice audio system. Such a pleasure to listen to her.
Thanks 👏so much for the comments and support you’ve showed me towards my Music 💝♥️ , I'm so grateful and happy to check on you! You can leave me a text on my mail;(Carlypearcemusic@outlook.com) and let me know more about you ❤️🇺🇸🎶
29 was my best year ever! Just me and my kids. No abusive husband, nobody telling me what not to do. Just “hey mommy I love you, I love you too baby”. Best year of my life and I’ll never forget every special moment.
This song is so relatable even if your life isn't the same. I'm happily married, but 29 has been brutal, and has had some life changing moments for me. Feeling lost at 29 likely hits home with a lot of 29 year olds
Thanks 👏so much for the comments and support you’ve showed me towards my Music 💝♥️ , I'm so grateful and happy to check on you! You can leave me a text on my mail;(Carlypearcemusic@outlook.com) and let me know more about you ❤️🇺🇸🎶
Divorce, in fact all our brokenness, eventually will be used for our greater good & God's glory so long as we run to God & keep trusting in His unconditional love for us!!!❤😪🙏
Carly Pearce is a real throwback to the great country singers of the past, and this is such a beautiful song, I hope she sings this on the UK tour, she is fantastic! ❤
Beautiful song. This is quality storytelling right here. On a side note: it’s always okay to mess up, to be confused, to be searching. 19..29..69.. life is all about discovery and trial and error, regardless of age. ❤️
Hey, Carly... thanks for putting this song out. I just discovered it the other day when you sang it on the Opry. You knocked it out of the park again with this one! What a gift. Thanks for not being afraid to put the truth into music. We need more like you
WOW! Another great song!!! Such raw emotion and way down you can feel your deep pain. Honey, I'm almost 65, married 45 of those yrs. to the only man I'll ever love. Widowed for the last 12. No one has a crystal ball. You just take what God let's you have and be grateful. There's nothing to "live down". Your grace is unequivocal to anything I've ever seen. As my 10yr old grandson tells me all the time. 😆 " YOU DO YOU BOO, I GOT ME " Hold that beautiful head up and keep on doing you. You are amazing. " You are fearfully and wonderfully made" PSALM 139:14
Heard this for the first time today! Sorry I’m late but I’ve had it on repeat on my AirPods, in my car all day!! I know I’m not the only one. I’m only 26 but I can relate and I just love every lyric to this song 29. ❤️ Carly is great! Love all this country that’s coming back raw, real, and just pure country music! 🎶
hey carly i am 58 in the coming june and still am working on finding myself.just follow your instinct and things will fall into place when they are meant to.i have had MANY adventures in my 58 years some bad, some average and a very few are TREASURED memories still.one such is meeting a musical idol of mine just walking around my dearly luved frisco.it was cool
I’m sure you’ve heard all the clichés….what doesn’t kill us….more fish in the sea…better to find out now….etc… So, here’s one that I had on my bathroom mirror for a very long time, it was an original so I hope you haven’t heard it, because if you have, I’ve been ripped off!😎 “If I concentrate on what I have, I’ll have more. If I concentrate on what I don’t have, I’ll never have enough.” Here’s to you Carly and to you always having more!
I'm 34 and my life is still mess more trying to solve it more it become a mess am still figuring out though one day i will be on right track I'm not losing faith
Im 29 now here in 2021, going to be 30 come November. I totally feel this song. Sometimes I wish was a little bit further along in life than I had hoped when i qaa younger. Especially when I compare myself to my h.s. classmates. All of them are either pursuing the careers they wanted to do or getting married and having kids together. (I was oldest in our class.) I definitely feel lost these days mostly because I haven't found the "one" yet. Or that I'm not really happy at my job now....
You are your own best friend. If you can master that (probably not the right word) then you realize when you look back at your life..what your gonna allow and not tolerate in relationships in general and romance. With that means you love yourself and you dont let people treat you or make you feel like a doormat. In a world that says a woman needs a man..that's desperation. Want yes but you have to live with yourself.
You dont need a man to be happy! It's ok to want or wish but you can live without a man and be independent. It's better to wait until you know when that is. It's okay if you dont
Too relatable. I would say I'm in a similar situation, but I couldn't care less about that fact Given the current state of the world, I don't hold much hope for things being better for future generations -- so having children in my opinion is not exactly the most responsible choice, at least if nothing is going to change for the better in the future. Since I've omitted children from my life, that also eliminates one of the larger needs for an intimate relationship with a significant other. If I need people to socialize with, I'm fine with just having friends to hang around - and that will be enough. Honestly, just take it at your own pace. A LOT of the old social norms are... rather dated nowadays, and were not exactly reasonable/logical in the first place. And since we're getting rid of the comparison bar... where's the gauge on "how far along compared to others are you"? :'D you're basically on the same level at that point, no? :3 Career... I guess that one would be a bit more difficult to simply dismiss, so it is going to be about weighing your options and figuring out where exactly did you want to go and seeing possible routes to get there. That's something I need to figure out for myself as well I'd honestly not care too much about finding "the one" -- it'll either happen, or it doesn't, and quite frankly I don't think you should care. There are people who have found "the one" and... suffered for it, I guess...? I'm sure people will disagree with me saying that "if you're suffering, it clearly isn't 'the one'," but my parents were indeed in love with each other, but the entire family and household relationship was an abomination. There was no cheating or scandal involved at all, but there was a bit of a divide and lack of trust within the family. The father did not really ever listen to people, the mother tried her best with things, and there were secrets being kept from people all the time. Promises were made and broken between parents and children, bits and pieces of abuse thrown around "justified" as discipline or "advice," and other things like that in the parent-child relationships. My father loved my mother, though they'd argue. Well, my mother apparently had cancer for 10 years and never told anyone in the family until very late and eventually died of it, almost as though she were trying to live for just as long as she could to have the children grow up and maybe be independent. I had always asked why she didn't just leave, but... it wasn't like she was able to go out and get a job easily, and there were still the children involved and divorces seem to be pretty ugly for children, and she didn't have a very big support network or safety net to work with. She never said a thing, so this is just the speculation that I've come up with given the circumstances My parents were immigrants. They moved to another country to pursue a better life, and they were 'successful' if you want to put in that way. They managed to own a house, have 4 children, and managed to survive in an area that had a reasonably high cost of living, and clearly were not poor. But at what cost? There was enough stress involved that the father ended up taking it out on the kids without ever realizing it (under the guise of discipline, etc.), at least one of the kids had contemplated suicide or even burning down the house for at least 5 years (and is still heavily impacted to this day), and I don't know how many other problems were involved in all of this. It was never "bad enough" for any big enough outside intervention to come in, but you can probably tell that it was pretty bad based on how I'm describing it Romance stories and the like tend to go around saying that there is some "fated lover" and the like, but... honestly, that is all baloney anyway. There is NO system out there that pairs people up, writes together their life stories, and has it play out like a script to make everyone happy in the end. It is absolutely unreasonable to think or expect it to work that way, especially since there are any number of people and things that have occurred, or didn't occur, that probably should have in order to make any number of people content or happy. There are people that are dead that probably shouldn't be, and if there is some script that pairs people up like that, you might as well start unreasonably killing people off in pairs to keep it all equal and balanced, or have people born in pairs in some awkward way Make yourself happy first. The rest can come afterward

I respectfully disagree! I’m so tired of uninspired, manufactured, happy, crappy music. Real country is about real life and unfortunately real life isn’t always sunshine and roses. CARLY PEARCE (2021) - 29 (Traducción en español) Twenty-nine Veintinueve That's when you're supposed to find yourself Es cuando se supone que te encuentras a ti misma Start drinkin' whiskey from a higher shelf Comienzas a beber whisky del estante más alto Stop callin' your mom for help Dejas de llamar a tu madre para pedirle ayuda Twenty-nine Veintinueve You start payin' mortgage instead of rent Comienzas a pagar una hipoteca en vez de un alquiler Should be pickin' out a picket fence Deberías estar escogiendo una valla Instead of wonderin' where it went and wonderin' why En vez de preguntarte a dónde fue a parar y preguntándote por qué But for me, twenty-nine Pero para mí, veintinueve Is the year that I got married and divorced Es el año que me casé y divorcié I held on for dear life, but I still fell off the horse Me aferré como si la vida me fuera en ello, pero a pesar de todo me caí del caballo From a Miss to a Mrs. then the other way around De Señorita a Señora, luego a la inversa The year I was gonna live it up El año que iba vivir a lo grande Now I'm never gonna live it down Ahora nunca voy a lograr olvidarlo Twenty-nine Veintinueve By now, I thought I'd have it figured out A estas alturas, creí que lo habría entendido But I've never felt as lost as I do now Pero nunca me he sentido tan perdida como lo estoy ahora And everybody says, "You're only twenty-nine" Y todo el mundo dice, “Solo tienes veintinueve” But I feel like I'm runnin' out of time Pero siento como si me estuviese quedando sin tiempo If youth is wasted on the young, have I wasted mine? Si la juventud se malgasta cuando eres joven, ¿He malgastado la mía? 'Cause for me, twenty-nine Porque para mí, veintinueve Is the year that I got married and divorced Es el año que me casé y divorcié I held on for dear life, but I still fell off the horse Me aferré como si la vida me fuera en ello, pero a pesar de todo me caí del caballo From a Miss to a Mrs. then the other way around De Señorita a Señora, luego a la inversa The year I was gonna live it up El año que iba vivir a lo grande Now I'm never gonna live it down Ahora nunca voy a lograr olvidarlo Seems like everybody else is hangin' on to it Parece como si todos los demás estuviesen aferrándose a ello But I swear to God I barely made my way through it Pero juro por Dios que apenas logré abrirme camino Oh, twenty-nine Oh, veintinueve Is the year that I got married and divorced Es el año que me casé y divorcié Yeah, I held on for dear life, but I still fell off the horse Sí, me aferré como si la vida me fuera en ello, pero a pesar de todo me caí del caballo From a Miss to a Mrs. then the other way around De Señorita a Señora, luego a la inversa The year I was gonna live it up El año que iba vivir a lo grande Hey, let's just call it what it was Eh, vamos a llamarlo por lo que fue Now I'm never gonna live it down Ahora nunca voy a lograr olvidarlo Mmm
Could of been worse Carly: you could of been in a feeling of trapped, unhappy, unloving for years...wasted, and older. But you are young, you learned something about who you are and what you deserve and what the other person deserves, and have now the best possibilities for a great marriage and passionate, devoted love in the future💚😊
She’s singing about 29, it is my lofty go to be singing about 69. Which means it gives me about a year to make tremendous strides so here’s to the year 2024.!!! may it be a extraordinary year for us all?
I did separate at 29 and my son was only a year and 3 months and I had to move in w/ my parents. We were together almost 6 years about to buy a house. He didn't want to be together, worst pain and low in my life. Fast forward a year, I am in a new relationship for a while now, and just got a really good high paying job, it does get easier.

28 when I got divorced from my sons dad. He’s still one of my closest friends and his mom is the one I wanna call when I’m breaking to this day and I’m 45... our relationship has gone up and down... but at any age this is true

If you don't have this song yet, the 29 album is on iTunes now. It is amazing! Ms. Loretta, What He Didn't Do....so real and so raw!
29 was my best year ever! Just me and my kids. No abusive husband, nobody telling me what not to do. Just “hey mommy I love you, I love you too baby”. Best year of my life and I’ll never forget every special moment.
✌💙
Such a great, raw and honest song about going through personal struggles. I'm 57 and can relate so well. Thank you for a wonderful song
Wow - this song just broke me. Such emotion coming from her - just amazing, Carly.
Dude this song makes me cry. For me and her

Beautiful song. This is quality storytelling right here.
On a side note: it’s always okay to mess up, to be confused, to be searching. 19..29..69.. life is all about discovery and trial and error, regardless of age. ❤️
You can tell she lived it, the raw emotion.
It’s so crazy how you don’t have to be 29 to emotionally connect with this song

47....and been here. Totally relatable.
So true hits home 🏡 doesn't it
I agree! And you don’t even have to have the same regrets to relate to it!
26!
Such a beautiful performance! Her voice is packed with so much emotion that I feel like I’m experiencing her story myself. 😢
Hey, Carly... thanks for putting this song out. I just discovered it the other day when you sang it on the Opry. You knocked it out of the park again with this one! What a gift. Thanks for not being afraid to put the truth into music. We need more like you
How is it possible that she sounds better live what a voice love her such a talent

Hold that beautiful head up and keep on doing you. You are amazing. " You are fearfully and wonderfully made" PSALM 139:14
the bridge in this live hits different.
29 has been my most challenging year yet. Between a miscarriage and a separation. I hope 30 brings so much more happy times
Sending you good vibes!💝
Carly you are truly talented girl!!!
The past is behind us...the present is what matters...you don't have to think about the future...but you have to be prepared...for everything.
Been there, done that at 29.... what a year....damn!
You can see the feeling she puts into this song by just watching her facial expressions. Amazing. Beautiful.
Congrats on the CMA Award!! So well deserved. Talented and beautiful.
On a different level.. it takes a special type of man to not take it personally when it comes to music in this scenario. Real men already know!!
Time is moving on. To be 29 again. Beautiful.
I love this song so much !! Thank you Carly

CARLY PEARCE (2021) - 29 (Traducción en español)
Twenty-nine
Veintinueve
That's when you're supposed to find yourself
Es cuando se supone que te encuentras a ti misma
Start drinkin' whiskey from a higher shelf
Comienzas a beber whisky del estante más alto
Stop callin' your mom for help
Dejas de llamar a tu madre para pedirle ayuda
Twenty-nine
Veintinueve
You start payin' mortgage instead of rent
Comienzas a pagar una hipoteca en vez de un alquiler
Should be pickin' out a picket fence
Deberías estar escogiendo una valla
Instead of wonderin' where it went and wonderin' why
En vez de preguntarte a dónde fue a parar y preguntándote por qué
But for me, twenty-nine
Pero para mí, veintinueve
Is the year that I got married and divorced
Es el año que me casé y divorcié
I held on for dear life, but I still fell off the horse
Me aferré como si la vida me fuera en ello, pero a pesar de todo me caí del caballo
From a Miss to a Mrs. then the other way around
De Señorita a Señora, luego a la inversa
The year I was gonna live it up
El año que iba vivir a lo grande
Now I'm never gonna live it down
Ahora nunca voy a lograr olvidarlo
Twenty-nine
Veintinueve
By now, I thought I'd have it figured out
A estas alturas, creí que lo habría entendido
But I've never felt as lost as I do now
Pero nunca me he sentido tan perdida como lo estoy ahora
And everybody says, "You're only twenty-nine"
Y todo el mundo dice, “Solo tienes veintinueve”
But I feel like I'm runnin' out of time
Pero siento como si me estuviese quedando sin tiempo
If youth is wasted on the young, have I wasted mine?
Si la juventud se malgasta cuando eres joven, ¿He malgastado la mía?
'Cause for me, twenty-nine
Porque para mí, veintinueve
Is the year that I got married and divorced
Es el año que me casé y divorcié
I held on for dear life, but I still fell off the horse
Me aferré como si la vida me fuera en ello, pero a pesar de todo me caí del caballo
From a Miss to a Mrs. then the other way around
De Señorita a Señora, luego a la inversa
The year I was gonna live it up
El año que iba vivir a lo grande
Now I'm never gonna live it down
Ahora nunca voy a lograr olvidarlo
Seems like everybody else is hangin' on to it
Parece como si todos los demás estuviesen aferrándose a ello
But I swear to God I barely made my way through it
Pero juro por Dios que apenas logré abrirme camino
Oh, twenty-nine
Oh, veintinueve
Is the year that I got married and divorced
Es el año que me casé y divorcié
Yeah, I held on for dear life, but I still fell off the horse
Sí, me aferré como si la vida me fuera en ello, pero a pesar de todo me caí del caballo
From a Miss to a Mrs. then the other way around
De Señorita a Señora, luego a la inversa
The year I was gonna live it up
El año que iba vivir a lo grande
Hey, let's just call it what it was
Eh, vamos a llamarlo por lo que fue
Now I'm never gonna live it down
Ahora nunca voy a lograr olvidarlo
Mmm
THAT SONG!!
I love the music
Beautiful 💕
She’s singing about 29, it is my lofty go to be singing about 69. Which means it gives me about a year to make tremendous strides so here’s to the year 2024.!!! may it be a extraordinary year for us all?
love
29 is finding myself hahahahahaako ako
I did separate at 29 and my son was only a year and 3 months and I had to move in w/ my parents. We were together almost 6 years about to buy a house. He didn't want to be together, worst pain and low in my life. Fast forward a year, I am in a new relationship for a while now, and just got a really good high paying job, it does get easier.
I LOVE ❤️
Beautiful

I feel this song. Eventhough i'm 27, and didn't get married yet haha.
im 44 and still haven't figured life out yet
