Yeah, the reason SGA is getting 9 or 10 free throws is because he doesn't live and die by the 3 and attacks the paint so much. He's so good that they have 3 defenders collapse on him many times and he still gets the shot or FT
OKc is staring down a title in the next 3 years. There’s no doubt about it. With the trades/picks and money cap…they are looking very strong in the future.
No chet actually helped. Going small meant your team were all over the dribble hand off actions. They attacked the less accomplished ball handlers and just didn't let Cleveland get into their actions
Cavs really haven't played well since they beat OKC in their first game. They needed a hero game the next night by Darius Garland tp beat a bad Raptors team, played horrid basketball against the Pacers, then beat the Pacers in the rematch but it was still a very close game until the final few minutes. Now this atrocious game against OKC. The offense was awful & the defense was worse. It's a long season and these things happen in the NBA, maybe they needed a loss like this to wake them up.
Not sure why the Cavs didn't use their size. They played right into OKC's hands. You want to run cute offense against OKC they'll kill you. I'm a OKC fan but what were the Cav's thinking. Use your size and stop jacking up 3s.
Yeah they were pretty dumb. Even if Mobley and Allen missed it still would have made OKC work harder and possibly get someone in foul trouble. Which would open up the offense because they would have to dial down the defense. Which gives Cavs an edge. That was the problem in last game. IHart and SGA, 2 of the most impactful players, lost critical game time because of foul trouble.
It was so bad it was almost like the cavs lost on purpose wanting to get blown out honestly.. I have been off the sports are scripted tip for awhile now, but I see a game like this and makes me wonder again... I say this betting OKC at $500 -2 this game
I'm not sure who the Cavs thought they were playing going into that game last night, a high school team maybe? They came out with ZERO intensity, a poor overall effort, and OKC saw it and jumped all over them. Cavs haven't really played well since they beat OKC in their first match up. Maybe they needed a loss like this as a wake up call to get it together.
What a PUTRID effort by the Cavs last night. OKC deserves all the credit for playing lights out b-ball, but what were the Cavs doing out there...??? The defense was non-existent, the offense had no ball movement whatsoever, they failed miserably to take advantage of Hartenstein being out, the over the top carelessness with the ball. I knew immediately the Cavs sleep walked into this game when on three straight possessions, Mobley, Mitchell & LeVert all took one-pass, warm up jumper-type threes that all missed. Cavs need to snap out of it and get back to playing like the were before they beat OKC last week.
That right there showed the stark difference in the level of effort and intensity both teams showed up with last night. OKC showed up ready to play and the Cavs didn't show up at all, and eventually ended up curling into the fetal position way too early. Cavs haven't really played well since their win against OKC in their first match up. Maybe a loss like this is what they need to wake themselves up.
@@ranilcurry615 read what i said. Okc fan. This was the 3rd time in history two teams at .850 have played each other.. The pace they are on, as with us, is historic. Both teams on track to win 70 games. And only 2 teams have ever done that? How is that not historic?
@samroyans9258 it's not even a halfway points. OKC on a historic pace has been down a Center all year. Harstistein out Cleveland got embarrassed. Stop it with the Cleveland historic pace. When Warriors and Bulls was at a Historic pace to win 73 games at the All Star break. Cleveland will have 2 more losses before All Star Break. They were on pace to go to the Conference Championship but OKC did not even make it to the Conference Championship so your historic pace Narratives the Media sells you mean absolutely nothing. The Ravens were on pace to go to the Superbowl last year but they did not. Stop dreaming with the historic pace Narratives ✅✅
Told yall. Okc misding their second beat player dont even have 2 of their starters smoked that cavs pack if not for the refs and caruso being out we smoke yall at home. You got absolutely boatraced. All that smack talk okc played their worst game last game ever and Cavs their best and they could barely win without 2 of okc starters and the refs swallowing their whistle when an Okc player looks at them. And fake phantom calls against okc. The truth is Okc is so much better they are the equivalent of the Cavs from Portland as Okc from the Cavs. And that is being nice Okc makes Portland look like a girls middle school team
Yeah 👍. The only problem that could hurt OKC is health. They beat all the contenders convincingly. Celtics lost by double figures with KP. Knicks took 2 Ls. Rockets have been tamed. Cavs struggled the entire first game with their complete starting 5 and barely won to OKC that was missing Chet on a rare bad shooting night for them. Tonight just showed what they can do without Chet and Holmgren vs 2 bigs and it was no problem. The only team that OKC hasn't tested is a healthy Memphis but that probably won't matter because the injuries might provide an early exit for Memphis anyway. Celtics and Knicks won't be able to contend with those young boys in a series.
@@seedking40 Only team that can beat them is Boston in reality and you have to give the edge to OKC against them even though the odds don't say so currently
@GregObpar I don't know what everyone else is looking at but the edge goes to OKC in my observation. Youth is on their side, they have an unstoppable leader who can draw defenders, their defense is the best, no egos like Tatum/Brown need to be the man, capable bench, they have 2 above average bigs, a great coach like Mark who is always cool as cucumber, Alex Caruso and they have a never quit spirit even when down. I don't see anyone beating them in 7 games, provided the key players stay healthy of course. I don't think it has sunk in that Cavs, the best record team in the NBA and best offense, just lost the game on the 1st quarter. That's crazy that they not only maintained such a significant lead but they got it up to 40 points and completely shut the door on the Cavs. This wasn't just a win. This is an embarrassment. At least OKC could say they were missing key players and Cavs had to work the whole game for W. OKC had no true big and completely obliterated their full starting ensemble. Can't say you didn't have Mitchell, Mobley, Garland, or Allen. They were just outclassed. SGA keeps OKC in the game long enough until they find something that works and once that happens you can just see a complete shift in the game where the turnovers seen endless and the game is over. OKC has shown that you can't just focus on SGA, JDub, Dort, Wiggins, and Joe can all get hit at anytime. The Knicks will never beat OKC, at least in a 7 game series, because they don't have bench production.
@@GregObpar This is why you can't disrespect your opponent. That where I give Thibs credit at. He does work the hell out of his players and doesn't trust the bench besides McBride but he definitely never takes his opponent for granted. The just be OKC recently, they were the #1 team and offense, and OKC has no true big. So I presume they didn't go into this with any desperation and payed the price. OKC is definitely a 48 minute team because they rarely suffer blow outs. So you can't assume having a previous win or being up 10 going into the 4th is enough to put them away. If they can get 2 turnovers that translate into foul points or a couple 3s, now they are only down 4 points and they are in range.
