Thanks for sharing your journey, TJ👍. A stable, reliable income alleviates a lot of stress & pressure. You have built a solid foundation with multiple skill sets & multiple streams of income which gives you options. Best of both worlds, in my opinion, especially if you enjoy your job for the most part. Entrepreneurship can offer some flexibility or time freedom but if you're broke, it really takes the fun out of it. I'm just sayin 😊
Love this video. Sometimes I want to go full time so bad but then reality pulls me back in. That steady paycheck is hard to replace. I’m sorry you lost your mom. Sounds like she was amazing. Thanks for sharing TJ! Your work ethic is incredible
Yesss I feel the same urge too! Being a fulltime business owner is not for everyone and that’s ok! My mom always took care of us, she was an amazing person 💜
I understand the situation cos I lived it when I was 16 with my parents. So the roof over my head is more important than food. When I left the UK and moved to the US even with my work permit I still couldn't get a job at 40 in 2007. So I started my own business and its been good until live changes again and I had to go back into full time work in 2016. Then COVID hit I went back into reselling. So I work part time and also able to run my business full time. Thanks for sharing.
Covid was the maker and breaker of businesses. We essentially started just as Covid hit and we had the best year ever selling stuff online. Things have since leveled out but there are definitely peaks and valleys! Thanks so much for watching 💜💜
You're a wise man sir. Most people never consider logic but you do and you're not afraid to speak about it. I also lost my mother four years ago and she was the only person that had my back. Since that time I started working a second job along with my side hustle and rental income. Most think I am crazy but I realize I only have myself in this life.
Thanks for your realness TJ!!! Money itself is not the root of evil, it's the love of it! So keep making your money and enjoy it!! In today's environment multiple streams of income is almost a necessity to make it and be comfortable.
Thanks for sharing your story TJ. Congratulations on being able to think through your decisions logically and make the best decision that grands you security. I resell part time and i have been able to build it up to a level that I could actually depend on it as my income but that is not what i want. I like the security and benefits from my full time; and honestly besides the lazy mornings when i just want to sleep in (lol), my full time is not stressful thankfully. So I consider it getting the best of both worlds.
Very interesting! Many thanks for sharing! But sometimes you have to take risks if you want to get ahead. My father was 44 years old when we came to Germany from Russia in 1988. We actually had a relatively ok life there with a house and everything. When we arrived in Germany, we suddenly had nothing. I still have a lot of respect for that move.R.I.P. Personally, I wouldn't quit my 9 to 5 job overnight either. It's better to gradually increase the turnover in your own business and gradually reduce the hours in your job. I would be interested to know: if money didn't matter, what would you do as a “job”?
Thanks for watching! That’s an interesting question. I think if money didn’t matter I would really love to create things and do projects and share them online. I love story telling and I also love designing/creating things.
Who would expect you to quit your job?! If the numbers from reselling don't consistently exceed your job why would you quit. Reselling is a hobby. Unless u have grown it to a full functioning sustainable business. Life comes in peaks in valleys stay strong in the valleys my friend.
Hey bro, I am working 9-5 entrepreneur who has chosen to retire early rather than simply quit me job. Mainly due to not wanting to pay the health insurance costs if I decided to quite my on job today and work solely for myself.
That’s awesome you were able to retire instead of quit! My did retired when he was 54 and a half and that was the best decision. He was able to get his retirement and insurance while also starting a cab company
My degree is in Business (Specifically a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Masters in Business Administration) but either a scientific or business degree will work. I’m going to make a whole video about my degree, where I went to school and the negative talk around schools similar to the one I went to.
Keep your job and the benefits. Use your entrepreneurial spirit as your fun money account. I’m retired fed govt as I understand appreciating the benefits.

Yes! I always try to tell people that I crave stability so being a fulltime business owner isn’t for me. Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏾

Insurance is so important so it would take a lot for me to quit. Also, with your salary no I would not leave that job....
Nuclear power is so hard to get into and is super lucrative, I’m very blessed 🙏🏾 Thanks so much for watching!
Heck no with your salary, keep your job. Entrepreneurship has its perks, but it also has its downfalls.
My thoughts exactly! I love doing work for myself but I’ve worked very hard to get where I’m at in my career. Thanks for watching!
💜💜💜💜
What do you do for work ?
I work in Nuclear Power as a Technical Advisor for the Site Vice President
@@tjlovelady I was looking for a career change , specifically in STEM. What kind of degree do you need for such a role ?
