From what I've read and seen, part of Ginger's bitterness against Jack was a familiar subject with many bands ---- $$$ from songwriting royalties. Jack co-wrote most of Cream's hit singles like "Sunshine Of Your Love" and "White Room" etc. with Peter Brown. The songwriter gets the lion's share of royalties, making Jack a very wealthy man. Ginger felt he never was properly compensated for his contributions, which he makes clear in "Beware Of Mr Baker". He was never able to achieve the same financial success.

Loved Cream and this story explained why the great music the band made together stopped! Too much ego and no sense for forgiveness it seems. 😢

I knew Ginger well, and there’s a whole other story here.

The was another factor in the Baker-Bruce feud not mentioned here. Jack Bruce managed to wrangle production and writing credits and the associated royalties and cut Baker and Clapton out. So besides personality and musical conflict there was also the age old money issue, which I would think gave some legitimacy to Baker’s complaints about Bruce.

To me, Baker is the most OVERRATED big name rock drummer of all time.
