Hey there! They are indeed very similar; however, the Princeton has a 10” speaker, whereas the Deluxe has a 12” speaker. Also, the earlier breakup definitely gives it some different vibes than the deluxe to my ear. That said, it all just comes down to preference. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! For reference monitors, I use IK Multimedia i Loud speakers. They are fantastic. I also have a set of mackies that are voiced a little warmer for reference. Hope that helps!
Great patch just purchased. I'm new with the HX Stomp. Where do I load the IR when I transfer the patch to my HX Stomp. ie I will be putting the patch into a preset slot let's say preset 35 on the Stomp where does the IR go?
Thank you! Right next to the preset tab, you should see a tab that says Impulse Responses. Click that to reveal all the open slots to add ir’s. From there, drag the ir into an open space. Let’s say you drag it into space 35; from there, go back to the blocks on the preset view and select the ir block. Then in the edit window (just below the blocks) you should be able to select the numbered ir you want to use. In this case, you would select 35. Hope that helps!
Such great sounds, man! Great stuff. If I were to buy both the Princeton and the AC30 presets, do you think I could run them in stereo if I took out everything but the amps and cabs and anything relevant to the base tone of the amp (such as EQs or Compression if you use them)? Basically, I guess I'm asking how may blocks does each amp tone take not including all of the effects and stuff?
Thanks! You’d probably want to dedicate 6 blocks if you’re going to run stereo amps. I tend to run a compressor between the amp and the cab. It’s not needed, but definitely adds some subtle sustain. However, most of the tone is from the amp and IR, so if dsp is an issue, you could omit the comp. You could always run two amps/two irs and join them into one stereo path then add one stereo comp (settings used in patch) for similar results. There’s a lot of ways to make it work. Hope that helps!!
@@tycaskey Sick! I tried reaching out to you on FB Messenger a few minutres ago, but when trying to import the Princeton preset, I'm getting an error message that says "HX Edit was unable to import this preset because it contains unrecognized models." I'm on firmware 3.0.1. Thanks!
@@calebmills2345 Hey! You have to make sure that both the stomp and hx edit are updated. If hx edit has not been updated as well, it will not work. If you’re having issues updating hx edit, save a back up of all your patches, delete hx edit from your applications and download and install the latest version from line 6 website. That should resolve your problem.
Hi Ty! Awesome patch. I just picked up a Helix LT today. Really excited to start using it. Can I use your patch with the Helix LT as well? All the best!
Hey everyone! I forgot to mention in the video that foot switch 5 is routed to tap tempo/tuner. Thanks for all the support!
Sounds Great!!!
Glad to hear!
Great tone ! Always sounds great !
Thank you!
You’re really making me want a Helix Stomp! Great tone as usual man!
Thank you!
Okay... You are for sure one of my favorite guitar TH-camrs!
Thanks so much!!
Isn't the Princeton Reverb just a less headroom Deluxe Reverb? They sound identical just less headroom.
