This a common scenario in pharmacy. couple things before adjusting on hands.......
1- check if there is a an invoice that is not posted....
2-check if there is a medication on the shelf of the difference amount that's not ready in the system and just need to be put back on shelf. That can help explain overage or a loss
3- May be a customer got more or less amount
These are couple examples... if any of this scenario fits then adjust on hands accordingly. if not then depending on the drug category adjust the on hands and report as required. Hope that helps :)
