You have to have ground in order to build in the Sims. Ground floor and walls are necessary. Plus this is not real life it's a game. It's just a concept.
I've been playing this series and building houses since the first game, and every time I watch another simmer build a house I always feel a little disappointed in myself!
How do you make this video? I mean you clearly didn’t build it like this right? (No movement in camera, everything is perfect in the first putting,etc…) Is there a program for the House to slowly build up like this after you built it? I would be really curious about the making of the video.
The bed is placed weird, definitely would want to move the bed so that the head side of the bed isn't the very first thing when you get up from the stairs. Maybe would put some form of divider if not a hard wall on the stairs and then tuck the bed into the corner where the mirrors are

Too much hard surface for an "eco-friendly" house... not displacing rainwater as much as possible is a key aspect of being eco-friendly.
