Man, I don’t know if you are a mechanic or someone else told this but I was able to fix my issue thanks to your only 10 min video. And the best thing is that I didn’t even have to buy a new pressure switch; even though I tried but it was out of stock. I clean the rust off installed it back on and that’s it! You’re a beast! Your instructions were very clear and straight to the point. Thank you!

I switched my truck off, then pumped my brakes all the way down to zero. I then turned the truck back on and let the pressure build all the way up. Then I repeated the process one more time. It solved my cruise control issue.

I just had that same problem while rolling down the road, so I started looking at this video and rather than stop to see if my brakes light with flashing or staying on, I just decided to pump my brakes about 5 or 10 times while I was still rolling, and sure enough the cruise kickee right back in, so you might want to try that...🎤💣💥💨💯🤷🏿♂️

Thanks man, been trying to figure this out for a week or more. You are the only one that said the lights could be flashing as well as staying on. The explanation about draining the air tanks is good as well for most to hear! Will comment bank if it works. It is literally doing the same thing so I’m sure it is.

This vid was so helpful.. on a 2019 loner Cascadia.. issues with breaks dragging when pulling off. And the cruise not engaging... Or disengaging... So .. I sounded like I knew stuff when I told mechanic to check that valve... He did some computer diagnostics and ended up replacing this very part that you talk about.. No longer issues with breaks saying they are dragging or using the cruise. Big thanks!

Did the switch fix your trailer brakes dragging..I'm having same problems
Having the exact same problem with my brake lights and cruise control for the past 2 weeks now and every time it happens, i stop for a min and switch off the entire truck power to reset and then it works for the day. But thank you so much for the video. Will get it cleaned up for now at least until i get home and get a new part.

Great vídeo. Got Freightliner 2019 and CC is disengaging. Do you have a video for lights? Lights are opaque not much projection.

Another question I have an issue that is common on the Freightliner the dome light that is in the driver part of the cab not in the sleeper but it turns on and off on and off and you cannot shut it down I have no idea to stop it. It stops by itself

I have international LT is it going to be same switch the first one on top? Any name or color to recognize it?
I believe it’s blue but I’d get on google and find a picture of the international brake pedal manifold
If even your brake lights dont come off and cruise control is not working after you start your truck is the same switch, replace it
Yo you are the man damn you won my subscription and the bell notification damn that was the entire solution to my problem how crazy is that you nailed it spot on it is nothing like all the forums and all the stuff online but your video help me a ton and probably save me the trouble of getting ripped off by the truck dealership shop

@@Gasdieselgarage But I noticed a small problem with my clutch which is that it doesn't return when I push it but now it's fine
@@abdinurseefka does the cruise control button engage?…or have you had anything replaced like front radar, camera, steering angle sensor. I ask because any of those things can cause it not to work if the system wasn’t calibrated after those replacements.

I need advice 2024 freightliner, Cascadia adaptive cruise control, an active brake assist & bunch of other sensor lights on
I was driving through the heavy rain storm right after that I had a sensors flashing and say cruise control another couple of sensors was not supporting. I have been driving 150 miles without cruise control without adaptive cruise sensors.
Hey situation before the same situation with the adaptive cruise after a heavy rain store, it was not working properly by after a couple of miles it’s kept working again but this time 2024 freightliner Cascadia it’s not working almost 150 200 miles still nothing I drive across the state and it’s hard to drive on the pedal
Brand new freightliner Cascadia 2024. All sensors was working everything was cool everything was working perfect it has almost 20,000 mileage I just recently got it almost a month ago renting it from Penske.
I just changed it it was working after I changed but couple hours later stop working any idea what else i can look for to solve issue
Did the old switch have a bunch of rust on it?
@@Gasdieselgarage not at all old switch didn't work only two hours after it was working i still ordered the part and change it after month from first issue my problem somewhere near that switch i will put old one back let's see
I have same symptoms which you mentioned on video but only when I hook the trailer

Otherwise while driving bobtail everything works fine

@@nakeiahooks9124 could be trailer valve, the handle you pull to use only trailer brakes considering it only happens when u connected to a trailer
Did you guys ever figure it out i Have same issues when im connected to a trailer , my brake lights are on tractor and trailer and my trailer brakes won’t release sometimes will take 10 sec or 2 min . So far i replace switch , quick release valve , double D check valve , tractor protection valve nothing any help

@@elvedinspahic8 Have you tried the trailer service valve? a quick test to see if its trailer or truck is have someone push the brake while u connected to the trailer and then pop the blue line off. If it releases right away then u know its the truck

No unfortunately you won’t see any on the dash
I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago it will have the break light flashing and then it will stop after that the cruise control worked fine then it stop completely. It was like on and off then it worked but now it stop completely the lights won’t blink at all.

Well I sat and thought about it and treated it like a regular electric brake switch like what any other car or truck would have because cars and trucks can produce the same problem with the brake lights staying on…I found the air pressure switch that controls the brake lights. To my none surprise I saw it was rusted shut…caused by not regularly draining the water out of the air tanks
