You came up with way more uses than I have. You can be pretty creative with these drop sheets. I have a 10x20 sheet to use for shelter in a bug out situation, but I think I might pick up a couple more . So useful. Thanks for the great video. It gave me a few mor ideas.😊
As a textiles history major, this is epic. You really understand that textiles and textile skills are one of the primary survival tools, as old as fire and blademaking.
Some good ideas, thank you. Mix a solution of half boiled linseed oil, half white spirit, soak the drop cloth, then wring it out and hang up to dry. When it's done, you have an oil cloth!
@@BlueCrawfish, I think you're right. We call it White Spirits, to differentiate it from alcohol, which is coloured purple and called methylated spirits.
Wow. Awesome video man. Please don't take this the wrong way, as I enjoy all your vids, but this was the most helpful in a long time! (Much more beneficial than flashlight reviews...) Thanks much JJ2K!
I may try some diy oilcloth coating on one. It would prolly be like an old shelter half. I have one of those left over from more than 20yrs ago in the Army and it's still in great shape. Very good vid! Lots'0 great ideas.
I just got one for free never used. I just knew we bush craft types would know what to do with them. Thanks for corroborating my suspicions.😁

@@BlueCrawfish , in the UK, we have a clear liquid called White spirits (looks like vodka), that we use for cleaning paint brushes.
@@anthonyjacobs6790 oh that might be what we call mineral spirits

Canvas is invaluable. I wanna use some to do a diy hot tent.
Great ideas. I've often thought that these were an under utilised product. Way more uses than I ever imagined. Cheers 👍. Gonna go get one.
Great ideas! I might use one for the floor of a hot tent...just not under the stove!
Awesome!! Thanks!!

Waaay more ways to use the drop cloths than there is to use shrimp from the Bubba Gump shrimp company.
