If I remember correctly, Lee Joon-gi revealed that there was an extra scene in the end where future Wang So hands over a handkerchief to crying IU, and they meet each other again. They actually reenacted that scene at Lee Joon-gi's fan meeting in China when IU came over as a guest.
On April 17 on Lee Joon-gi's birtday IU called to congratulate him and they talked about Moon lovers and both of them confirmed that Wang So and Hae Soo met each other in future where he handed her his handkerchief while she was crying in the galery. The fact that they filmed that scene but then cut it frustrates me to no end especially when they didn't give us second season but at least we know that they will be together in this world)). And guys thnak you for your reaction I liked it so much and cried with you too))
@@kdramacouple no one gives an exact reason for doing it but I guess the creators changed their minds at the last minute during the edition of the episode because both the actors were surprised and kept saying that it was a shame that the viewers didn't get to see them meet. And IU kept complimenting Joon-gi for being very cool and handsome in a suit and short hair at that moment when he gave her his handkerchief. As far as I know in the original Chinese version in the second part of the book they do meet on modern days Wang So being the CEO of the beauty cosmetic company IU works at.

However, both the actors said that they are ready to come back with their roles and during this call both Joon-gi and IU commented that an insanely amount love and interest came to them after the drama was aired and especially from foreign fans. So maybe there will be another season mainly like with Netflix or other company which will be mainly focused on foreign fans🤷🏻♀️ I don't know these are my speculations,
I just finished watching it like a few minutes ago.. ow my god... I had a hard time hiding myself crying... my mom and my sister is with me... hehehe 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.. is so heartbreaking
when I watched this for the first time I didn't cry at all. I didn't feel anything. But it just leaves a scar on you and leaves you broken and just a long lasting affect that you can't get over at all.
If I am just tuned into the movie at the end and I watch her moves and her expressions whenever she see's herself in the painting where she's dancing in front of all the princes I always tear up.

Hmm.. There is one! But it's older and the lead actor went through a scandal. recently. I watched if years ago back when he was popular. It's called 90 Days Time to Love. On the sadness scale, this one really got me and the depression stuck with me for weeks. Unlike Scarlet heart, there is no cute, funny parts. I'ts pretty much all sad. But yah, that's it.
미안하다사랑한다(i am sorry i love you starring) is very old but guaranteed for sadness. Famous sad drama lol. 비밀(secret love) and 오월의청춘(youth of May) are recommened, too. I didn’t really watch these (only watched Moonlovers), but searched sad dramas by interest and these were the list. It’s late but I hope this helpful :)

실제로는 씬이 삭제되서 현대씬에서 해수의 현대인 고하진이 울고있을때, 왕소의 현대인이 나타나서 손수건을 주면서 왜 남의 사진앞에서 울고있냐고 한답니다. 나름 해피엔딩이래요.
