I realized how lucky I am to have a dad like my dad. We may not be as rich as other people but my dad and my mom always gives me not only what I need but also what I want. I'm really grateful. thank you mom and dad.
Mathew 19:21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” "Gift" touched me and it made me strive to comment this bible verse, may it bless you in your lives
"Being rich is not about how much you have, but how much you give". Lets be thankful to the people that work hard every day to put food on our table and help us go to school and get an education.
He never forgot about his son. His son had a lot of resentment for his father because inspite of the fathers hard work he wasn't "successful" as other fathers, he states it in the start of his narration... the son's ambition is wealth, realizing when his father died that there were bigger things than that... It was the son who forgot the father... How you could miss such a clear message is beyond me...
Billy Macias Yeah, it states in the narration however, the video shows that the father has clearly neglected his son in many ways. For example, the writing of that little gift card, seeing his son being happy by that little gift card and yet he said it's not for you. I understand why didn't he get the message and that's because even though it was narrated properly, however, the act is pretty contradicting.
brian lim Yah! True! If my son showed such a face to the card, I would give it to him and right something else Later and alone. The Boy his son did need a little more.
I was listening to Rod Stewart singing Father and Son, and then ended up watching this film. The affect this has had on me will probably last all day. Such a beautiful story and so well written and acted. More tissues please!
A little tip to those who still have their fathers alive. I highly recommend you spend time with your father. Fathers are great people and love their sons/daughters. They don't really show it but in reality they would take a bullet for you. Don't waste time. Anything can happen in a day, even in an hour.
Right. Because there sure isn't enough bullshit cheesy movies for idiots who need a movie to send a $10 check to a charity. JUST HELP OTHERS, that's all. You don't need a movie for that!
honestly I'm a hard men who refrain from crying. Who refrain from showing m emotions and in that process i feel really stuck inside. I feel there is something within me which is choking me constantly and is not letting letting me be free. But these videos are my saviour. After watching these even if I don't cry I start appreciating those small moments and our love ones. There love is really selfless and beyond anything. I love you mom and dad
Very touching short film. You know you did a good job if people start crying which, I in fact did! it just got to me so much, nothing has made me cry this much in a long time!
The story is all touching and heart aching. But it is actually a bitter love story. The boy grew up waiting for his father's words of encouragement. What his dad says is kind of hard to understand for a kid like him. Maybe his dad isn't so bright, but when you see that his dad is more gift giving and clown-like to other kids, it is kind of good that he volunteers to help others, but kind of sad to when his child wished he was that kid who is being pampered and entertained. Anyways all in all this whole story gives an amazing message. Love your children ALL the same, and communication is important explaining details ~ It is hard being a parent, but all kids want to be pampered and supported. It was kind of sad that he expressed his love to his son after he died.
These seven minutes were so touching, sad and heartwarming at the same time, the father is such a great man and the video can be used to show young people what really matters in life. I appreciated it!
This reminded me of my grandpa. My grandpa was a person that gave a lot to many teen and children without us knowing. The day he passed away more than 100 teen and kid showed up! I miss him!!
Another lesson: Enjoy the time with your loved ones while they're still with you/alive don't let your career manifested your time that will take out the most precious moment with your family btw nice vid, thanks for uploading
it makes me think , am i also doing this to my parents? devaluing them for not being materially successful? this clip really struck my heart 😭😭 now i wanna go home
I grew up without my father but i have a son now and I cant see him because of his mother and my past trouble life this movie clip is beautiful only those who understand would get this message
Everyone should love their dad,dad gave us everything that he could gave to us,so we can di something in the future to make your dad pround...maybe someone didn't want to read this comment but when you grow up more, you will know why l said that... *Dad is the best*
I never known my father. I ask people, stories are always slightly different. I searched him, on all social media, on internet, I can't find him. 18 years I live and I can only wonder what he looks like, how he sounds. This is peculiar, as I've never met him yet I cry every time he cross my mind. I'd like to meet him someday, even if we don't talk, I just want to see him for five seconds, if he's still alive.
Most of us don't realise the good deeds our parents do will come back to us in great returns !This video made me cry bec the father loved his son very much although he showed it differently but the saddest part is the son thought so little of his Dad when in actual fact his dad did it all for the sake of bringing hope n cheer to poor underprivileged persons plus donated in his sons name !!!!

Not knowing my biological father left me feeling like he never loved me or never wanted to know me. Daddy kinda took his son for granted. He was a great man, but a bad father seeing as the son didn't like him for most of his childhood. Hopefully the son doesn't put other people over his own kids in the future. Still a touching video though.
I'm sorry if I offend some people with this comment, but... Why did the father give so much to other people and not give enough to his own son? I am NOT talking about money. I am NOT talking about a "good example". I am NOT talking about donations in his son's name to charities. I am talking about Love... and affection... and encouragement. There is a scene - 0:45 - in which the boy finds a card that says: "You will be a GREAT MAN! JUST BELIEVE! :)" The boy looks at his father with a smile. AT LAST! The encouragement and praise that he has been THIRSTING for. And what does his father do? Says: "Hey! It's not for YOU..." And you see the light fade out of his son's eyes. If the father doesn't see that, he is blind. But does he say: "I don't need to write that to you, because you are already great"? He does not. He has let his thirsty son see a glass of water and he has snatched it away from him. Some father. Some example. What a HORRIBLE video!
jimmsfairytales0com I had a father like that, so I know what I'm talking about. I considered committing suicide several times before I was even a teenager. I don't think your really sorry honestly, this was supposed to be a touching video and then you take all the heart out of it. Grow some smarts its a little video that can change the world... and at least the dad is actually nice and wants to give and not get. I can see how no one liked your comment.
PASSY I'm not apologising. I'm not saying that I am at fault. I don't regret what I wrote. I AM sorry if what I wrote offends you, but that doesn't make it wrong to write it. I'm sorry when I clean my niece' cut arm with alcohol that what I'm doing hurts her. That doesn't mean that cleaning her wound is WRONG. I'm just sorry that I'm adding to the hurt she already feels. Did you even bother to consider the points that I was making??? You write: "this was supposed to be a touching video". I KNOW that it was SUPPOSED to be a touching video. And it's obvious that many people were touched. That's part of the problem: You think that "saving the world" is better than being kind to others. That "doing good" is better than being a good person. Specifically, that making DAMNED sure that his son feels that he isn't being loved is justified by making other children laugh. This is NOT a true story! It is a film with a screenplay, DESIGNED to "touch" people. It was just incredibly badly written. When the happiness of SOME people is based on the misery of others, even on the misery of just ONE person, that is WRONG!!! "this was supposed to be a touching video" OK: There are THOUSANDS of videos on TH-cam that show people falling on their faces, trying to do fancy tricks on their skateboards or bicycles and running into trees or metal posts, having PAINFUL accidents or embarrassing themselves PAINFULLY in other ways. They are SUPPOSED to be funny videos. But I don't think that they're funny.
PASSY (2nd reply) In my 1st reply to you I wrote: "I KNOW that it was SUPPOSED to be a touching video. [...] It was just incredibly badly written." Think about this: It is ONLY by accident that the son finds out - AFTER his father's death - what an "amazingly wonderful person" his father was. He then takes on the father's mission in life and makes a new generation of children happy. Oh, how beautiful!!! What a lovely story!!! But what if he had NEVER found out? What if he had never bothered to go to the hospital to ask about those mystery donations? He would have continued to the end of his life as a bitter man, resenting his father for never loving him. He would have continued resenting being poor as a child and he would only be interested in becoming the OPPOSITE of his father: a success AT MAKING MONEY. WHY - instead of taking the money out of his son's hand and putting it into the donation jar; instead of just saying: "Hey! It's not for YOU..." - WHY doesn't he take his son to the hospital with him, to SHOW him where his "donation" is going, to SHOW him (while he's stillyoung and more open to learning) that we have a responsibility to people who suffer, to help make their world a better place??? Because the writer(s) of this film were trying to be clever, to be "touching"... and fell flat on their face(s). I repeat: What a HORRIBLE video! I'm sorry if you can't understand that.
God you are my helper. I started watching from the starting and thought it would be boring but I continued watching because of the title of the movie. I cried and I couldn't stop and now I am still crying.
its really very inspiring and heart touching i watched this movie with my 7 years old son i tried to be strong but after seeing tears on my seven years old sons eyes i just couldnt stop my tears.
guys this is a really nice video it reminds me that even do we are kids we should always respect our father because you cannot give love when they are dead so be with them until you grow up and always give them time with you
It Remindes me my daddy he work a lot day and night without pays he is a selfless man a loving father a good teacher and great pastor he didn tell us about his sick he died last year for over fatigue he never tell i love you but we feel his love, he never smile he never speak, people love him. he passed the exam a week before he died its bachelor tiology,
Although my dad was very strict and sometimes rude towards me when I was a kid and he didnt show his love so emotionally as I desired. I still know that he loved and loves me and all the "bad" things he did were just to ensure my safety in the fastest possible manner.
The only thing I can do for my dad is hope he can forgive me. I was a real asshole and said really harsh things during my teenage years and into adulthood. I'm 25 now and I'm trying to reconnect. I miss him
Never ever take you parents for granted it DOSENT mattet about the money or anything ur parents work to make you better than them and live a better life then them. My dads dads died when my dad was just 16 him and his 2 brothers went through a lot bec all they did was party. Love you family and your parents
I appreciate your father and his good quality , today I learn that "Rich is not how much you have, it means how much you give and make them happy". rest in peace to your father.
I realized how lucky I am to have a dad like my dad. We may not be as rich as other people but my dad and my mom always gives me not only what I need but also what I want. I'm really grateful. thank you mom and dad.

Father should never forget about his son. While he was making smiles (which is nice) on other children faces, his son was sad....
However his son went to school and had a chance to be happy when he grew up the kids the father took care for had no chance of success
He never forgot about his son.
THE FEELS

Some children will never know the sacrifices their parents make for them until it is too late.

Being 100% honest as a boy i'm sobbing.
Oh crap I just shed a tear... I wished I could be this good...
Love only grows by sharing. You can only have more for yourself by giving it away to others.
guys this is a really nice video it reminds me that even do we are kids we should always respect our father because you cannot give love when they are dead so be with them until you grow up and always give them time with you
being rich is not how much you have but how much you receive.. nice
Truly beautiful, thank you mom and dad.
😭😭😭
Even time I watch this video, it brings tears in my eyes. 😥😩I love my dad and my mom so much.
I'm starting to tear up wow that was cute sad and a little happy at the same time!
A great lesson in "Doing unto others as you would have them do unto you! AMEN!
puts me in tears. Everytime.
Being rich,is not about how much you get. It is about how much you give💓💓
ok ok i cried one of the first times in any of these sad videos ...
Not a lot of videos can make me cry... But this one did it in more ways then one
When I need to cry I come to these videos.
tears came .....its really true dad are the real superstar.....
I appreciate your father and his good quality , today I learn that "Rich is not how much you have, it means how much you give and make them happy". rest in peace to your father.
Very Thought Provoking, Only Wished The Father would Have Told His Son What he was doing.
