Sure, but to my understanding, if the language requirement changes from A2 to B1 by January 2024. From January 2024 the requirement will be B1 diploma not A2. Since the requirement for submitting the application will change the 2023 A2 will not be suffecient. Am I wrong here?
This will depend on your visa and how long you have been in the Netherlands for, so make sure to check out the requirements!
I asked IND and they advised me not to take the exam in advance coz the rule might change by the time I am eligible to apply.

That depends on your level and how often you practise!

Als je een buitenlander bent, maar wil in Nederland een “sterkere” verblijfvergunning krijgen voor onbepaalde tijd zodat je kan in Nederland blijven zonder beperkingen dan heb je dit inburgeringsexamen exam nodig. Dit exam is ook geldig voor naturalisatie aanvragen waarbij je moet bewijzen dat je voldoende Nederlands spreekt en over de Nederlandse samenleving voldoende kennis hebben.

actually, it still works. If you came to NL more than 3 years ago, you can still do A2
usually, but maybe not... you really need to call your municipality
B1 is now a must, starting from July last year. They programmed me for B1. Very difficult.
