Hello This is really a great and helpful video. Question: Could you please tell me which chemicals you used to make it that make it look like mirror glazing??? Please It's look like as ceramics glazing.
Yes, I agree! They demold beautifully 🤍 I purchased them off aliexpress which took some time to deliver, but I noticed they are on amazon now as well so you have options! I'll paste both links below. sorry I didn't see this comment until now! I got the cement-all from home depot. You can probably find it at your local hardware store :) Thank you so much for watching!
I agree! Pigments that are made to color cement are the best option, but there’s a limited range of colors in my market and are costly. So a $1 bottle of acrylic paint is what I started with :) Maybe I’ll try cement pigments one day! Is there a brand you recommend?
@@joolieshome Hello! No worries, I'm actually learning from a bunch of videos like yours! I saw many peep using cement pigments with a bigger color payoff, so I thought maybe you needed that. I'm from Peru though, not sure if they carry the same brands :_: (We call it here "ocre", the brand Bayer seems popular)
Hi thank you for your lovely video, your work is beautiful. I have just started my cement journey. Help!!! I use white cement, do i need to add sand? I made something and it cracked....
@@dfi63 Thank you so much for your comment :) I'm glad you found my channel! Unfortunately, I haven't used white cement so I'm not too sure how to help troubleshoot :( I wish I could've been more helpful, sorry.
Kak punten ini utk cara nempelin antar coaster pake apa ya biar kuat? Sy ada rencana mau tempelin bbrapa coaster di 1 wadah utk jd ringbear. Semoga berkenan menjawab 🙏🏻
Apakah Anda ingin merekatkan tatakan gelas datar? Saya belum pernah mencobanya sebelumnya.
@@joolieshome sorry, I don't know if you are not Indonesian, I wrote it wrong, I mean the ringbearer from the coaster, unfortunately I want to attach it between the coasters
Oh no, that’s disappointing! I haven’t tried fixing a broken one, but I wonder if super glue/gorilla glue would fix it? The only pain point I can forsee is having to sand the area after demolding. It’ll probably be challenging to match the seams exactly where it broke to get a smooth finish. Also, the glue might not hold so this may be a temporary fix. Wish I could offer more help, but hope something works out for you!
I think it'll be too fragile if it's thin, but try it out and let me know! I've only tried the pigments used in this video so I'm not sure about candle pigments. If it's a wax or oil based product, I'm not sure it would blend with the water in cement-all. If you do try it out, let us know :)
oh no! That sounds frustrating :( I haven't used white cement before, but I wonder if it could be the water to cement ratio? When my cement-all mixture is too watery, I notice they are more brittle, but again I'm not too sure with white cement.
I used cement all from home depot and the molds you can get from Amazon. Link is in my description, but I'll paste it here as well (amzn.to/3LvLPBh). Have fun!
If you drop it, depending on the way it lands, they can break. This is a good question though, I may do a drop test on my concrete pieces just to see :)
I can see your point. I think in the DIY space, cement and concrete are used interchangeably, but there are differences in the material. I'm not an expert at distinguishing the 2, but cement is an ingredient of concrete. I apologize if the title is misleading.
I used the Rustoleum matte clear sealant in the video, but it left an uneven finish. I've had better results with Mod Podge matte clear acrylic sealer. Heres the link to amazon :amzn.to/40j6YCN, but you can also purchase it at most craft stores. Thank you so much for watching!
If you brush the mold with some concrete before you pour (what I did around 4:20) it'll help reduce air bubbles! It works really well for me :) Hope that helps!
Oh, no!

sorry I didn't see this comment until now! I got the cement-all from home depot. You can probably find it at your local hardware store :) Thank you so much for watching!
I think it's better to use pigment for cement instead of acrylics. I believe it's not that expensive(at least where I live)

Hi can we use acrylic varnish gloss for top coat?

Kindly tell me is it okay to make thin mixture?
Can we use candles pigments in it?

ايش البودره اللي حطيتيها في العمل ؟ وكيف امنه تكسر القطعه لمى اطلعها 🥲🥲🥲
I use cement to make my trays. It's not easily breakable, but if you drop it, it may break. Thank you so much for watching 🫶
Is there a brand of concrete that you use? Also how long does it take to dry?
I use cement-all and demold after 3-4 hours. Then I wait a few day before sealing it. Hope that helps!
Which cement you have used ? Where to get silikone mold?
I used cement all from home depot and the molds you can get from Amazon. Link is in my description, but I'll paste it here as well (amzn.to/3LvLPBh). Have fun!
Whenever I spray my cement it absorbs the sealer and causes it to be splotchy
What color type and brand you use. The tube one
I use Craft Smart acrylic paint from Michaels in this video :)

Is it white cement?
no, it's cement-all :)
How to get glossy effect
I used a spray sealer mod podge gloss :)
I have one doubt. Why this tray is called concrete. But it is made from cement right
