Thanks for the review! I just got a 2005 Toyota Corolla. When I saw gas prices jump again, it changed my mind on getting a full-size car. I got a great deal, only $1,300, 156k miles, nothing wrong mechanically and of course for that price there are a few flaws. The right rear wheel well is rusty *needs rust neutralized and metal replaced) and the driver door is rusted through on the bottom. Also found out the trunk leaks, there is standing water in the trunk after driving in rain. No big deal to me. I have experience in rust repair. It would easily cost over $800 to get the rust issues fixed. It's like a project. I get more experience in rust repair and in the end I get one of the most reliable cars in the world. This car I plan on keeping for at least 2 years and passing it on to my niece.
The Corolla is a well-made car. There are so many older Corollas on the road - they last! They might not have all the bells and whistles, but that means fewer things to go bad. The statistics don't lie and you are correct - they are one of the most reliable cars made and they hold their value well compared to many other vehicles that depreciate so quickly.

Am about to get this same car! I wish it had the wood trim but it is in pristine condition, 1 owner and only 85k miles! Plan on having it for a long time. A true steal in this market in my opinion. Will be my first car!
Nice Corolla! That Cactus color is pretty rare to find. I have a 2012 silver Corolla LE with 60,000 miles on it and love it. Planning on driving it for at least another 200,000 miles.
I know this is years late, but I have this exact same car and color with 45,000 miles on it. Great Grandmother gifted it to me, and it really is a great car all around.
Great cars! Bought a 2006 Corolla S back in 2005 brand new. It was the first car I ever bought & didn't have a single problem, but sold it in early 2011 cause I grew & needed a bigger car with more legroom. Now I drive a 2015 Camry which still has the same exterior door handles, mirror controls, cruise control stalk & chime as these Corollas which isn't a bad thing.

Mecanic in the car is very good but the worst things is the seats, they are really unconfortobles which irritated the most and for that reason I sold it and in the winter, this car doesn't keep good on the road you can easyly loose the controle when it starts to slide
