  • This is a tutorial for a far easier safe jump with chun-li that is very consistent and effective in street fighter 6. I also included some variatons end examples extra.       That's a fact. Chun Li is by far the most fun, yet most difficult character for me, but this channel has rapidly accelerated me learning her

    Also, if You are almost full screen, after ex SBK-M Lighting legs, you can double regular dash and it times you for a meaty stMP, or a meaty throw, it covers both wakeup options so it is really helpful.

      yep, basic oki is not covered in this video, but literary any combo ending with spinning bird kick or sbk + lightning legs leads to atleast a oki for a meaty 5mp

    Been trying your first safe jump set up and any time I hit both heavy punches mid air it feels like pure luck, don’t have the timing down yet. This looks like an easier setup I can start with, keep up the good content m8

      It does take some practice. Usually you just have to use the first stomp then delay, and after that you do the rest as fast as possible.

    Chun Li's deadliest asset is still the ambiguous Cross Up Head Stomp off using it at the last instant while inside their body on their rising up animation from knock down. (Technically can also be done while they're standing, but it's dangerous to try.) If you land it, you can go right into a Air Heavy Kick to crouching HP or MK or any off air combo you so desire - especially devastating when done off a EX Spinning Bird to Super 2 to air Super 1 which puts them in perfect position for the Cross up even mid stage.
    If done at the last frame it cannot be blocked except by Drive (which many players try to avoid thinking about as a rising option) and maybe some counter special moves of rising EX (never seen anyone try) - which doesn't matter as you'll still be over head and safe and in good position to get right back in their face with a Heavy Kick or other attacks.
    I assume they'll patch this out at some point somehow because it's really deadly when you get it down.
    Also; why do so many people get psyched out by Lotus stance Medium Punch slide? I've once spammed it 5 times in a row to approach and STILL trip them on the final jab. It's shockingly more effective than it has any right to be - even in Platinum Ranks.

    I cant get the second hit of the hp air target combo to conect after the j2mk. Any tips? Ty

      you do the first j2mk early then you do a little delay and then the second j2mk +hp into hp target combo rapidly, which means you should make it as gapless as possible.

    If you're not near the corner, can you use jumping medium kick to reach?

      sadly it whiffs too, maybe you can catch some of their ground normals if they press like jab, but if they don't press anything no air normal hits mid screen. Good thing is if they don't use back rise you actually can hit them.

    Question: should you always go for safe jump set up if you can rather than go for max damage? (Of course not if dmg is going to kill)

      It's a choice you make. Chun is a character that plays pretty well if she has a big life lead so you can opt to not take any risks and let people kill themselves. On the other hand you can rush them down as well which is what safe jumps and mix ups are for. Most of my recent videos have been focusing on how to do a bit of rushdown with chun but you really don't have to do that.

    Stance into Down MK Down MK then HP ?? i dont get the last HP ? somebody with clear notations on the first combo (ending??

      Her HP in the air has a target combo if you press it twice it has 2 punches, If you can't get all hits to land basically just do a little delay after the first air stomp.

      @@king_lvr i see but they doesnt connect during the combo the second whiff since im already down after the first punch.. but it works when the dummy is just jumping and i do raw jump hp slight dely hp again it connects! but during the combo the 2nd hit drop!?

      @@mr.richard3715 In my last video I talked about how to execute the combo, basically you have to practice the timing to get all 4 hits. It should feel a bit difficult until you figure out the timing, but basically you only delay a bit after the first stomp the rest you press rapidly.

      Well to put it simply it's a jump performed after knocking someone down that basically is safe against reversals. Therefore, you can jump and your enemy can't do anything to stop you or deal damage to you other then block.

      It's kind of like an option select where you either hit them or block. If your hit will connect (ie. your opponent pushes a non-invincible button), then it lands. If not (ie. they do an invincible reversal), then the block happens with the same inputs. So their only safe option is to block, which means it's still your turn to do a block string or throw.
