Absolutely loved this game in the 90s, played this with my brother on my Amiga 500. Just so much fun 😃 Quality game I miss, as my Amiga stopped working a few yrs back. Thanks for sharing mate, liked and subbed, great stuff 👍🏻
Growing up sensible soccer was all I played on the amiga then sega I think, just downloaded this on the series X and can't score is it the controller or me. I don't know how to play it anymore.
Hang in there champ, me and my mate were masters of the OG Sensi but when we played the one on Xbox it took us a few games to get into it, brutal but you'll be fine!
Watching this after your PES16 video, would quite like to hear your review and maybe comparison between the SWOS games and the new Sociable Soccer, it's cureently only £12.50 on the Steam sale and if it is anything like SWOS, I'd be very tempted!
Funny you should mention that, I was sent a code by the devs of Sociable Soccer, currently working on a review, to be published in January. It is very much an arcade footy game, great in two player, still deciding what the solo career mode is like. Watch this space. Cheers
@@PlayGames_PG to be fair that's pretty brave of them, shows some confidence in their product. The idea of a good season management / career mode is what would pull me in. A lot of these smaller football games just have tournaments and/or exhibition games only and because of that, limited replayability. Let us know how you get on 🙌
Saying that the first couple of FIFA games back in the day (the isometric ones) were pretty cool. Sensi was the first great football game and no mistake!
Remember how long it would take to load a new season lol. It took a while on my Amiga and u would look to see who won each league lol. Wish they could bring it out for the iPhone
Amazing game so many amazing saturday afternoon tournements with the m8s on the Amiga, we all had our own created teams, only thing wrong with this version is the game screams for a decent microswitch joystick like a zipstick.
I loved this in the 90's, played the original to death on the Megadrive, remember spending ages modifying team data as well. EDIT There was no Team Editor on this version? That's BS and IMO it just isn't Sensible Soccer without that. We desperately need an Indie Football game like this on Steam.
Not a classic edit mode, there were a batch of teams you can customise to looking like real teams, but no option to edit the full team roster used in career mode.
You can't edit the existing squads, but you do get a large amount of blank squads that you can edit, like copy paste the existing team then change the names and appearance.
Great game, but there are some issues: our players get injured a lot and many players lose they're value. I've restarted playing it recently on PC and still have lots of fun though.
I would imagine so, I played on Series S but if you can find it in the store on Xbox One it should say there if it works on it, I'm almost certain it does.
Ich liebe dieses Spiel. Zocken es heute noch und würde mich freuen wenn es es mal auf die ps5 schaffen würde aber ohne die Grafik und die Spielphysik zu ändern
I don't think it really has changed, I think it's us that has changed with modern games being so easy. It took me a while to get the hang of it again but give it time and you'll get it back. Cheers
Bought for xbox a while back, got absolutely horsed in my first game. 14 year old me would be ashamed of me. At its absolute best when you're playing against someone else though
Yeah, I was a wizard at this as a kid then played it for the review and got tanked by some rubbish team. But in time I got back into the sheer speed and ruthlessness of it, great game.
I never heard of this game. It's less then 10€ in the Xbox store. I am really tempted to buy it. I grew up with winning 11 career mode. I am wondering if this game could be for me or not. 9.5 is pretty high score though:)
First things first, if you buy it you'll get trashed for the first few days as it's very fast and tough for new players. But once you get the hang of it and learn a few tricks it is a wonderful game and one of the golden generation of football games. Maybe there is a demo somewhere?
I once didn't sleep for 2 days straight playing this game 20 years or so ago. it was my intro into football management simulation. oh, great memories!
Still a great management game, I've got so tired of FIFA and PES that I've gone back to the old games.
20 years ago I didn’t sleep for 2 days but was on a 2 day bender 🍺 🍷 🍻

Thank you!
At least there's not the 5 year wait at the end of the season for the next one to load anymore!
I loved this game back in the day. Bunking off college and playing with my mates on the Amiga.
Classic game!
This was literally life back in the day ha ha!
True!
Growing up sensible soccer was all I played on the amiga then sega I think, just downloaded this on the series X and can't score is it the controller or me. I don't know how to play it anymore.

Ahhhhh, the memories of playing this on the Commodore 64 back in the day. Absolutely loved this.
This game was not on the C64, think you mean the Commodore Amiga?
@@sporthaas
Yes, my bad. I was about 8 so my memory isn’t the best. It was one of the Commodores. 👍🏻👍🏻
@@stanettiels7367 < Micro Pro Soccer was on the c64. Also a great game back in the years :)
Thanks for watching.
You have a great memory.

🙂 Thx for the review, picking it up on GOG
No worries, enjoy!
Just bought this Xbox introduced my 8 year old too it ..I forgot how hard it is. Love this game so much
It does take a few games to get up to speed but once you get there it's great.
Loved this game. Especially with Jonathan Pearce commentary. "Oooohh, great save the keeper" haha, "that's a nasty tackle"
I don't think I ever played it with that!
@Photography Gamer think I had every version from amiga onwards. Commentary was on world of soccer PC cd version I think.
I remember the big curling shot you could do from just inside the half way line on the left or right, ahhhh good times 😃
Oh yeah, what a beauty that one was!
This brings back memories of long afternoons on the old mega drive. It’s a shame there’s not a ps4 version.
Yeah it should be available on everything tbh. Thanks for watching.
Kids who love FIFA/EA FC will never know the sheer joy of this game. Still the best. Dodgy player names made it extra quirky.

haha, I remember that, for me that was sandwich time! Thanks for watching.
dosbox SWOS have offical players and editor...for pc
Yeah, I'll have to get into that one.

I've sold so many I will never worry about living costs ha

I saw Rashford, Sancho etc in that… How did you get the modern squads in?
You can't edit the existing squads, but you do get a large amount of blank squads that you can edit, like copy paste the existing team then change the names and appearance.
swos 2020 google it
Great game, but there are some issues: our players get injured a lot and many players lose they're value. I've restarted playing it recently on PC and still have lots of fun though.
I would say that is a good thing, makes it more like real life, thanks for watching.
Great review of still great game for sure.
Haven't played it since the Amiga days.
...i still think Kick Off 2 ruled above all else though. :p
For me it was Sensi all the way, great game, still very playable too.
In my top 5 of all time ❤ but on The Amiga 600
Not a great deal of difference between the versions from playing on Amiga, Megadrive and Xbox tbh. Cheers
Has this been released for the pc?
This version? Not sure, but you can get the original on GOG and there are updated mods for recent teams/players.
I sell it pc
I sell for pc 360 version 24 players
@@paulbarrass2902 brilliant Paul. But any chance of answering my question ❓
Can you play this on Xbox one?

for what console is it?
watch the video and you'll find out if you listen.
Which platform is this on? Been wanting to play this again for as long as I can remember.
At the start of the video I mentioned that it's for the Xbox Series S.

Found it 🤩

haha, nice, enjoy it, tough at first so keep trying.
Why not normal players names ?

Loved sensi on the Megadrive and Amiga. Not a fan of the Xbox version. Very hard to score but meanwhile my keeper will let anything past.
I don't think it really has changed, I think it's us that has changed with modern games being so easy. It took me a while to get the hang of it again but give it time and you'll get it back. Cheers
Spent way too much time playing this as a kid, needs to come to PlayStation
I'd love them to remake it with modern teams and some flashy graphic but retaining the gameplay of the original.

I don't think it was even the best football game of the 90s.
Each to their own.
HTF is this an Xbox 360 game??? Dear me🙄
Because this review is based on the Xbox version mate, keep up.
