Gidday. Thanks for making the videos, very nice. Very good of you to add the podcast bit too. About 12 years ago (I think I was about 50) myself and two guys half my age did a trip in that area. We were after the ballot in late May and the advice we got was to get into the head of the Narrows via the main ridge in the Billy Burn block - this supposedly avoids winding the whole of the Narrows. Well we got to the saddle between the block but it was "bridged" by very hard ice, I got most of the way across it kicking steps but after two self arrests using my rifle barrel it became apparent that it wasn't on. So we went back the same way we'd come. That same 200' drop thing right above the valley floor got us too, and we only got down because I'd saved our upwards track on the GPS, we literally had to be with 10M of the exact track to even think about descending . . . I mention this in case it helps someone else, it's a place that requires the highest standards of bushcraft. All the best for future trips, I'll keep an eye our for your stories!

Why did you shoot a wapiti cow? I thought the ballot rules were mature wap bulls only? Good to see you got out safe
