First video I have seen from you guys. Simply great entertainment overall you got everything in there. The angels of some shots are outrageously good and so bloody hard to pull of in normal conditions… I’m blown away and take of my hat. Quite cheese this post but you did very well here and definitely gonna be on my radar from now on! Keep going strong
Your NZ Wapiti roars in a manner much like the red stags. Quite different than the roar or whistle of elk here in the states. I wonder how it is that the same species has such a different roar or call in New Zealand. Very enjoyable video. Thanks
Cheers Jeff. All the 'Elk' in NZ are pretty much hybridised animals, given the overlapping of Red Stag blood. There are more 'pure' Wapiti living in the highly sought after core blocks which have a more familiar whistle rather than the roar of a red. The block in this vid was a coastal one, far from where the stronger genetics reside. If you're keen to hear what I mean then feel free to check out our earlier Wapiti mission into the Lower Glaisnock block from our first ever season.
@@TheHuntersClub I certainly will! BTW, great to see that you passed on the 6 pt, leaving him to develop, and still maintained great spirits and appreciation of nature without taking an animal. That’s true hunting ethics.

Cheers Tom! To be honest, it's fairly easy to make a place like Fiordland look beautiful, but am pleased you got a kick out of the episode.
100% agree with you there Tom. A great clip and expertly put together series/episodes which is now free on the tube for all to view.
What a trip gents.
That’s for taking us on the ride. Well from the comfort of our homes. 😂
