I just bought this bench yesterday, and two of the drawers are giving me trouble. Cheap, crappy slides. Your video is really helpful, since I'm on the fence about how to handle the situation. Thanks!
(Also, the bottom supports have been installed backwards on your bench, fyi.)

I like the bench for what it is, but more upgrades are in the works. bottom supports backwards ? LOLOL...glad to say it wasn't me.

@@SirTools I figured it was the former owner. I'm jealous of the price you got it for. I couldn't even find a coupon for it. 😑

@@RJStockton Felt sorry for the owner, his health had failed. Harbor Freight coupons...yeah...now you have to be a member. I miss the coupon papers.

@@SirTools I guess my first project as a new woodworker will be to fix up my workbench. Could be worse. I'm thinking either get rid of the drawers because the top ones will fill with dust, or put panels on the sides with some new hardware to make that neat swishing sound when I close them. Maybe paint flames on the sides.

You did end up adding the trim piece in front…kinda thought you would!! You like to finish the little details that matter!! I thought I could hear wind in the first part of the video!! Thankfully you are safe and no big issues!! Nice work bringing the harbor freight made in China bench up to snuff!!

The next plan is to add something on the back side of the work bench to "stiffen" it. I think it will be an episode soon.

1/2” gap for that type of drawer slides is pretty standard in all honesty it’s 13 MM which is basically a Whisker hair thicker than 1/2 “ overall for the money you have into this bench. you are. doing pretty well IMO

Harbor Freight doesn't seem to sell their Windsor Design workbench anymore. They have the more expensive Yukon version for $200.

TH-cam blocked the comment and would not even allow me to answer you LOLOL...I have been going back to older comments to find YOU...LOLOL..dang it.....Anyway this review was a 10amp motorized planer and also the base is bigger than what your link at Amazon shows. Price wise...and 2 days is still NOT a bad deal at Amazon, but....they don't give me free tools there ha ha ha....ok...hope you get to read this :)

I don’t thinkHarbor Freight sells that bench any longer they have something similiar ,BTW on the screws being off on one side from the other that may. not actually be the Manufacturers fault ? As a kid growing up my Dad who had a big Family and many freinds never. passed up a Free or hand me down Workbench and practicly every one we did some modification or Change to make that paticular one work in my Dads Shop most often the changes we did were relocating or adding more Drawers for extra Storage We made our own Slides out of whatever we had in the Scrap Bins and Metal Piles ? the Old Man was very resourcefull or as I called him Cheap ! ironically when i was in my 40s i inherited 2 of his old Steel Benches that went into my Shop ! FYI i’m a retired Woodworker by Trade and i wanted that bench because it eventually made it into our Garage where my Dad and I wrenched on many ,many Projects together often working overnight untill daylight fueled by lots of Coffee and even a few Laughs the Bench also still has my Dads Antique Heavy Duty Vises on it that we used as a Press often and i coated numerous times and colors with Rustoleum Paint which my Dad swore by for Metal

Man, those were the days ! I have one useless tool box that the old man owned and I've kept it for no other reason but to remember those 3am working on a project days with him.

They staggered the screws so they didn't hit in the middle.

I recommend trying to make this video about 4 minutes long. Lots of extraneous footage
