      There's something fascinating about stories told and listened to. I'm an over-avid reader, a thousand pages per week usually. I know many of the stories HorrorBabble produces, but narration, done in their style, is almost reinvention. I'd like to point out that anyone can read a story out loud with a little practice. On this channel you get a lot more! If you can take the time, set up your side of the atmosphere, you get something that must be pretty close to storytelling in it's original, archaic forms. Those were places where magic took form.
      A few more short stories, then we'll see about the cumulative effect of 3-5 hr narrations. Should you never hear from me again, I've fallen through some crack between the words. I'll send a postcard, if there's a way (:

      @@FirCorred Whenever I find a book I want to read, I always look for an audiobook, too. I also read many books, but there’s something about hearing it narrated well that really brings it to life, I think. I’ve never been happier since I found HorrorBabble!!

      For some reason, I'm seeing the comment I left as Porn Parody: the Hung King. If others see it as such, it seems to be a glitch. Ian, if you read it as such, I certainly didn't write that. Instead, I commented that I appreciate you working in the midst of demonetization, and that i appreciate your efforts. TH-cam may be messing up in more ways than one, and this is quite odd.

    This was GREAT!! I love the old tales although it is upsetting to see what passes now forauthors and books, just like almost all things now. Books are banned and also amazon is pulling books that they don't agree with. Banned Books pulling books off shelves youbeing demonetized. We've see this all in recent history. The apathy is the most sickening.People do nothing. We now support all those being banned and will continue with moneythis is going to stop soon bank on it till then we appreciate your decision to keep going. The apathy in people now will get what is deserved. What goes around comes around.Thanks again.

    How effortlessly you switch from one accent to another, it's remarkable! And of course your reading, no, not reading, storytelling, is indeed superb. A true gift! Thank you for your work, it comforts me greatly while I am battling depression and going through the painful process of changing medications. It is sometimes too difficult to read and watching just doesn't do the trick. These stories and your reading transport me like nothing else. This one, while not one of my very favorites (those being Algernon Blackwood's and all the late 19th and early 20th-century ghost and haunting stories), was still very enjoyable.

    TH-cam is a meat grinder. It's one thirty, and put on your channel, and trade your work for sleep. As I listen, I try to figure out what the image is acompaning your reading. I've read this story, and I know Kuttner. Kuttner is good, but you bring out the best in other people's work. You do more then read, but act. Every character is unique, and distinct. Some how you manage to portray each person, with their accent, and gender. Never have you pulled me away from the story with an unnateral sounding character. Other people can narrate, but they fail when it comes to the acting. Then you write your own music, which always fits, and elevates the story. As I listen to your work, I realize that the picture is a key. I don't think anyone on youtube does what you do. You perform, produce, create music, and write origional content. Then you do research, and design themes in the stories you present. No body does what you do, on TH-cam, or anywhere. And yet, you do it so well.

    My second time here I (Extremely important please read) I Adore You horrible your voice everything the stories you tell you're the best narrator ever can you do some more vampire stories? I love them I have a feeling I'm one of them I have natural fangs on both sides my doctor dentist kind of thought them down they grew back I also and 50 but I look 20 I don't understand what's happening? So the more I learn is by listening to stories of what I think are my people? This is no joke. I haven't eaten solid food for three years I drink water and I stay healthy. I like blood but I don't try it I'm afraid it will turn me completely? I can still see my reflection although it's blurry I know I have my own soul. I fear if I do drink I lose my soul now I know I wouldn't kill because I drink from animals but still that idea is just repulsive to me I Don't Want to Lose My Soul if you learn of any old wives tales about vampires and things like that maybe you could tell story so I could learn more this all started in puberty my teeth and everything if there was a way I could show you a picture I would but it would come out blurry pray for my soul and thank you for your wonderful stories they helped me a lot👍🏼🖤🕷

    Oooh the first mispronounced word! Wizened is pronounced like wizard as opposed to wise. I am really ancient and it's a word that used to be used a lot but seems to have gone out of common usage. Wrinkly and ancient looking sums it up. I can't help myself btw and any corrections are made in the spirit of constructive criticism rather than having a go. I did notice a couple of others recently but I have heard them pronounced like you did as well as the way I would so I never said anything but, I thought that sough was pronounced like cough or perhaps more of a u sound like enough, like 'suff' and ague was like plague but like I said, I could be wrong with these but my pronunciation of wizened is correct.

    • @HorrorBabble
      @HorrorBabble  4 ปีที่แล้ว
