If women could have had access to education in Newton's time, who knows, maybe more female mathematicians would be known. Great presentation! Keep it up.

Awesome presentation. It's really nice to see that the younger generation can really make a change in the face of ignorance.

I am the organizer for TEDxYouthJingshan. The comment by Devon is a great teachable moment for the kids of TEDx that internet trolls work to be cruel but really their comments are worthless. We work in schools to build resilience in students to be able to cope in an ever digital world. Betty’s talk shows the intelligence of this generation to make real change in the face of ignorance- such as displayed by troll comments. Great work Betty! Haters gonna hate. Always take the high road!

For her apparent age she probably has a future in public speaking, however this is another pre teen girl trying to school adults in the room on how bad things are for girls and woman. I would be curious to know what’s percentage of the teachers that she has had to this point and have had an influence on her are male, given the stats as they stand for schools in general it would guess to be about 17% if anyone could check that. The fact that young boys these days are underperforming so dramatically in school overall is there any ideas that she may have to set out a new direction that helps the young males perform better in apparently every other subject.

Let's consider we have the right to learn math but not retain math. We need kindles for math for a lifetime at really easy attainability.

Recommended by a friend. Really nice presentation! Gender equity in math does need to be emphasized more.
