- Seeing green for this version of a glam & gore tutorial. For the glammers, I go over the process to do your makeup like Elphaba from the book and Broadway play, Wicked. For the gore lovers, I teach you how to do a very easy special effects inspired look from the classic Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch of the West as she melts. Which witch (heheh) will you choose?

Green aquapaint - The exact one used on Broadway I believe is MAC's Chromacake in Landscape Green (Pro color), but if you google water activated paints or aquapaints, you'll find a lot of different brands make them

I just realized something. Since the Wicked Which melts when she touches water she can't take showers so that's why she's green. I know I'm rly smurt.
She was born with green skin because she is actually the daughter of a munchkin and the wizard himself. Elphabas mom cheated on her dad because she wasn’t satisfied with him and the wizard just arrived to oz. he slipped a drink to elphabas mom and when elphabas was born she was green. And Elphaba from Wicked the musical doesn’t melt.
In the book, I'm sure she uses oils to clean herself.
I believe she was green because when her mother was having an affair with the wizard they drank a "green elixir" and I believe she was stained by the green elixir while her mother was pregnant with her

I was wondering what brand of contacts do you use?? Sorry to bother you with this question because you probably get it very often and might have answered it in the past but i've just recently been interested in fx makeup and am to scared to waste money on crapy contacts.
Any SFX contacts I've worn in the past are from camoeyes.com and these green ones I just got are the only non-SFX contacts I have and they're from pinkyparadise.com. I like both sites and they have a lot to styles to select from which is awesome but they aren't as comfortable as most regular contact brands. And just be careful when ordering contacts online without needing proof of a prescription because the measurements of everyone's eyes are different and unless you're ordering ones with your exact specifications, they could irritate or damage your eyes.

Thank you, girl! But if you want to, you totally should attempt this because it's actually a very easy look, all around. You don't have to do all the contouring or eye makeup for Elphaba, you could just make yourself green, and for the melting witch all you really have to do is make gelatin and let it drip down your face! Just be careful with the gelatin, because it's hot, but you can definitely do it!

Enchanty No I think you're confused. It's a type of Grimoire, yet Gregory Maguire and Stephen Schwartz used "Grimmerie" instead.
In a later book you melt......when you get set on fire and Dorothy is like whoop and dumps you in water
Will this rub off on clothes?
Water activated paints may come off on clothes a little just from rubbing, and definitely would if you sweat, but it's generally not much if any. If it does, it should wash off pretty easily with water.

I have to do a statue makeup and in a short amount of time she has to turn into a piece of furniture for Beast's castle. What kind of paint/makeup should I use for this?
