the contact disappearing from your eye for a second is literally my biggest fear about putting things in my eyes!

literally the first day i ever wore contacts (for vision purposes not fx) at about 9/10pm it split and got stuck under my eyelid. I freaked out, had a mini panic attack and ended up at the hospital to get it removed

I paused in the middle of this video with an idea... do you think it could be helpful to put the container of warmed gelatin onto a heating pad? I've melted chocolate by putting the dish of chocolate onto a heating pad- I didn't even need the microwave! I figure the heating pad might extend the working time of the gelatin.
That's a really good idea! Personally, I like the different stages of gelatin since they all have a use - when it's hot I use that really liquidy form to lay a base or to smooth edges, when it's almost too cooled to use it's great for adding texture or making big stringy pieces that don't drip off your face.. But if you could control the temp of the heat pad so that you could choose what stage you wanted to work with, that would be beyond amazing! The race against cooling gelatin is a bit of a pain when you're making a mess with it! Thanks for commenting about it!
Glam&Gore Aww, thanks! The heating pad I have right now has 4 settings, ranging from "ooooh, that's nice" to "GETITOFFGETITOFFGETITOFF!" I can see it working at least for some of the stages, hopefully!

Gelatin actually comes off really easily :) Doesn't hurt and comes off in one big piece.

My favourite Disney movie growing up was Hercules. There is the part at the end where Hercules has to jump into the Underworld to save Meg and they look all nasty and old. I bet you could do an amazing job recreating that. Meg was squished by a big column, so that could also factor into the costume.

I'm seeing a lot of people saying something like 'she said she wasn't going to do princesses of color'. Where are people getting that idea from? I never said that.
I said on twitter a while ago I feel I'll be damned if I do AND damned if I don't- but ultimately I don't think it's right to send the message to little kids that they can only dress up as their favorite disney princess if they share the same race as them. People cosplay characters of different races all the time, they just don't make any attempts to change their own race with darker/lighter makeup. You can still wear their costume and do the beauty makeup like theirs - so where people got the idea that I said I wouldn't be doing them to avoid controversy is incorrect.

in the intro to the series, she stated that they all were because she started them before (or at the beginning??) of the nyx face awards last year and the competition took up all of her time and came back to the project after the competition ended
