I recommend starting here to understand what scouting is about. th-cam.com/video/jhCMsZgIJA8/w-d-xo.html My channel is not a channel you can just walk into and know what going one. Its a glimpse of a constant journey. I highly recommend browsing the "T.A. Rhodesia" & the "T.A. Mount Lion" Play lists.
Your right videos of doing is only a glimps of what is. Just like reading/studying tm manuals. One needs to get out and play. Especially in winter time. The cold will drain oneself. Keep on keeping on
You got that right. Scouting takes TIME. I’ve been scouting a new TA in my area since last March and it took me 10 months of consistent scouting and planning before I found a place with the resources that I needed to do overnighters and build a base camp. Granted, life and obligations got in the way at times last year but I just kept at it at every opportunity. And I’m still not done, scouting is endless. Great video!
Hey neighbour, thanx for your voice. Let us, side by side, defend our, thousands of years old, culture. I count on you and your comrades. Prepare for the unthinkable and staying alive.🤜🤛⚔️
Thanks Ivarr, setting up shots takes up energy goin back and forth. No matter when or where I go out, I'm learning something - whether it's understanding the terrain challenges in different conditions, re-assessing my gear load out, cooking set-up, and clothing options, noticing wildlife hang outs I hadn't noticed before, down to just flat out physical training - nothing is wasted man. I appreciate all you do , that's hard work keeping the vids goin. The song you played at the end always kicks my ass!
Great video again mate. I love the start it reminds me of our "how to survive being captured by the enemy" trainings we recieved before our deployments. This looks exactly like it except of we had uniforms and it happened out of nowhere while a bus ride. German snowcamo siuts german g 36 and uzis. I love it im back ;).
I snatched that part of the video from the BW youtube channel. ;-) They have some great videos i use sometimes for conveying inspiration .. and thanks for watching, my friend. I appreciate your kind words and i appreciate your time..
Dayne gets attitude like my dog Cooper haha! Great scout out there. Good call on that creek ice, especially with all the mild spells. We’ve had similar issues here. We finally had a week of -30 C so the lakes are safe now. Thank again for sharing your experience Ivarr!
Don’t feel you should reply to this bro for I know your mail box is getting busier for you are becoming a global celebrity in evasions and survival. Your films are down to earth and real. Great effort, haven’t seen a hound so pissed off, obviously has less endurance power than you. You’re an inspiration and always a delight to follow. Harry……out
Hey Ivarr, you did a great job! Alaska is absolutely awesome, what a beauty even in bad wheather. Thank you for taking me along and as always all the best from Austria my friend 🇦🇹🤠👍👍🔥
My pleasure! And I mean that! I love showing Alaska and what I do. When it gets personal, like you and i have becomes internet friends, it mores the specialness. Again, thank you for the kind words, mate!
Hard work done well Ivarr. That slip from Dayne at the beginning had me chuckling cause I've done the same thing. Hot food on a cold day full of hard work always tastes the best! Nate
This was great man , I really like that part about getting out is the real training, lots of “preparedness” community types wouldn’t leave their comforts just to explore on foot , and actually know the land around them, it seems like basic instincts to me
Awesome video Ivar!!! Absolutely love the scenery bro! That knife looks like it has a ton of great history behind it! Keep up the amazing content brother!!! Definitely gonna check out your playlist, the outgoing song sounded like my life bro, can't wait to download it!!
The pack is the best med patrol/scout pack I have ever used. More on it later. Yeah he was pissing. In his defense his boots failed so I had to apply some audible motivation because he at one point refused to keep going..
Alright. Great video. I enjoyed the scenery. Some of the clearest footage I have seen. The air looked really clean. That field of snow and dead grass looks like it would be perfect for the DPM desert pattern. At least partially. Never known a dog to get so upset he wouldn't eat spiced meat and sauce. He must really hate the cold. That ruck looks like it carries well. Well balanced and not much swaying. Classic german mess kit making an appearance. Its very light, but it punches well above its weight. That AK looks good in Ak... So long as it is an American holding it. Good call on not crossing the river. Getting dunked on a cold day like that is never a good thing. Notice that nobody does polar plunges when alone and miles from help? As far as the opening monologue: I wonder how far out bandits will go? They wouldn't have the discipline to man cold outposts like a military would, or so I believe. Seems like the further out you go, the better it is for the survivalist. In that kind of weather it's probably best to do like the trappers used to do. Put up a decent amount of food and hole up in a warm hole that is hidden from eyesight. As always, thanks for the video. Much to learn if one pays attention. Saw several tracks throughout the snowfield, so there is at least a small bit of food in that area. And moose it seems.
Love those boots Dane is rockin. I really like these longer videos. Maybe one day you could give us your thoughts pros/cons of your preferred winter rifle between the AR, AK and G3? Thank you for all your efforts. Your videos are of great value.
I like the transition at 13:20 very slick 👍You seem to have captured that same place in every season, nice to see all those clips together. That first scout looked grim, glad you called it a day and turned back.....bad energies! Snow and those mountains are something else ❤ When its that cold do the working parts of your assault rifle freeze? do you keep it warm or 'cock it' to test its ok and working? Dayne's boots.....great idea....bet he appreciated those🌝
He did but as the day went on his booties failed. I got him some new ones that go all the way up his legs. It almost turned into an emergency! But No- The Ak will work no matter what. In fact the Alaska state troopers even tested them in arctic conditions for its police force. I charge it at the car every time i go out so its at the ready.. and thnx Lass. It was a great day!
I think what you do is a good idea “ the scouting “ that’s where you live you should know your whole area . Scouting and setting out caches is smart set your self up for success when the hammer drops . You can skip all the crap that will get you killed and have supplies. You’re just upping your odds . Very good approach as far as I’m concerned Plus you know exactly what gear will keep you alive. How you been?
Descreation is the better part of valor lol. Thanks for the video and to the detractors it would be nigh on impossible to long term evade if you had no idea of the area and supplies to fall back on…
6:42 firstly big 👍🏼👍🏼for a creative intro. Question: how do you keep your dog’s booties on his feet? I’ve tried 3 different pair for my pit bull and all of them fall off too easily and too quickly
They are a pretty expensive type. I got them second hand but they run around 100$ new. They stay put very well. I'm not sure of the brand. Ive long since forgotten but I can look and get back to you. They are good for trails, in town walks and such but SUCK for this out in the wilds. They fill up with snow around the neck really bad. Generally I never have to use them but it was VERY cold. We just ordered him a set that goes all the way up the legs and it secured by a harness.. I don't know how they will do but its got to be better than the ones I used the other day for what we did, IF we need to cover his feet again.. My email is under the "about" section here. Email me and I will return an email with the info I find on them.
Not sure why anybody would bitch and moan about you scouting. Even if nothing else is accomplished, it's good to get out in the woods with your kit. You know what your looking for tho.

Was Dane embarrassed? LOL
He has no shame...😁

Looks like a successful scout! Smart turning around when that wind got super bad. Looks like your pack is dialed in! Great video man
Thanks 👍Yeah man it was a success in so many ways. Its take an hour long video to point them all out.. I appreciate you watching. man!
@Bergmann.Alaska I'm sure you could make a multi hour long video on Rhodesia alone lol
Great stuff, not sure why anyone would complain about doing stuff like this. I fully agree with you
