I contacted the seller, and they say that this box does not support mini, although mini is essentially BMW and uses almost the same idrive system. Can you find a system that works with Mini? Keep up the good work 👍
On this adapter, you can use some apps without internet connection; like Offline Maps, BT Calling, Music, Media playback from the memory card (SD Card) etc. But if you want to use apps that require internet connection like TH-cam, Netflix, Live TV etc, then you will have to connect this device to internet. You can either insert a SIM card to access internet or connect the device with your mobile hotspot
Have you tested connecting your phone to this device to control calls via it? ie. Phone (BT) -> Linkifun L8 (CarPlay WiFi+BT) -> ID6/7/8 BMW? Im curious if/how that would function, currently i run an iPhone as my CarPlay device, but have a 2nd BT connection in the car which is my primary Android Phone (as the ID6 doesn't support Android Auto natively)
FWIW, I purchased this box based on the review, instant regret, its so So laggy to use, and even sometimes lags on the boot animation lol, not sure if mines faulty but seriously wouldn't waste your money on this, it's great in theory, but in actual use it's very average.
