As a Cypriot i can confirm that every winter is the same, some years are more rainy and some less rainy. My grandfather told me that Troodos 70 years ago had 3+ meters of snow but the last decades only around 1 meter of snow, I'm a summer person so all good :)

Hey there! Hope you're good. Yes, I did hear about that. They are planning to open the Greece to Cyprus ferry route soon, when exactly, no one knows yet. 🙂
They have a tender out for it, but they haven't decided which one will provide it yet, what I know. I think the tender closes in March. The only bad thing what read, is that it will only run 2 month in spring, and 2 month in autumn, not during the summer :(
I made a big mistake. The RAF sent me to RAF Troodos in December 1968. Knowing I would be there at least 2 years I bought a car. My choice of a Morgan 4/4 was not a good one.
