Everything about Hwasa’s confidence makes me certain she grew up with a lot of strong, opinionated women in her life. She isn’t the inauthentic fake-girl power Hollywood bullshit of “oh I grew up with a lot of brothers thus I’m totes confident and capable” she is a woman’s raised by women to be confident in ways that make misogynistic assholes uncomfortable. A confidence that inspires women not to copy her, but to emulate her confidence in being their own person whoever that might be.

You should really watch her appearances (especially her first two and then the one where she goes home and visits her grandma) on Home Alone. You get to see the real Hwasa and it was the turning point between a lot of the Korean public hating on her, then realizing they had no clue WHY they were hating on her. After her episodes aired they pretty much went from "she's the devil" to "she could be my sister, or my neighborhood, and I wish I had a friend like her."
She's a killer on stage, but she's just a really awesome person in real life. It's such a contrast, yet both are so great! She's genuinely loveable.
Let me tell you, she is JUST as powerful and absolutely STUNNING live. Her visuals, her vocals, her attitude. Amazing.
I saw Mamamoo in Nashville. It was INCREDIBLE! Even from the cheap seats I could feel the vocals and the stage presence. I swear even a bind man could tell when Hwasa is on stage. 😂
...and the whole group was on that level! Solar's power and attitude, Wheein's vocals, and Moonbyul's bars! They somehow make you feel blown away by their star power AND make you feel like you're hanging out with your best friends at the same time. It's awesome! 😎😁🤩

Hwasa and Mamamoo are amazing. She breaks all the standard K-pop “rules”, like calling herself a B or a savage, or going braless. I love her audacity.
This was a 'part two' or an 'alternate ending' to her song and MV, 'Maria'. The little dress she is wearing at the beginning of this, breaking out of the box of water, is the same dress she was wearing at the end of 'Maria'.
Breaking out of a box of water...So my interpretation is, she eventually makes herself (almost) immune to all the negativity being thrown at her. She gets more hate than any other member of MMM, for a few reasons. Korean Men don't seem to like strong, self-assured women.
She refuses to be put in any box by anybody (not even her friends) but when she was young, she was affected by negative comments, she actually is very sensitive. She felt like she was suffocating/ drowning from the bullshit other people said when talking about her. She HAD to get out of that, otherwise what happens? She would go crazy (scenes from 'Maria' where she is in a hospital and wearing a Straight Jacket and has hundreds of pencils pointed at her).
She needed a change, so she toughened up; part of that change was cutting her hair (she was contemplating a pair of scissors in 'Maria'). So now that she finally decided to cut her hair, 'now what'? She's going to get hate NO MATTER WHAT she does, which has been proven hundreds of times already, just because she exists and is so un-apologetically and authentically herself.
Think of ANYBODY who became famous in history, doesn't matter who you come up with, they had detractors right along with people who loved them.
So, even with more haters than the rest of the group members, the other members ALSO DO HAVE HATERS; yes, even Wheein, of all people, has haters.
Obviously, these haters are fucking crazy idiots or they are JEALOUS of the talent. They are jealous of the skills and careers that these four awesome ladies have made for themselves. It is these four women who lifted RBW off the ground and carried the company on their backs for YEARS. They WORKED for everything they have.
And that is the part that none of the haters pay attention to while they are busy being jealous of the success of others. They ignore the very important part about hard work. They just assume that everything has always been handed to the group members on Silver platters. They ignore all of the history and the actual facts; Wheein and Hwasa grew up poor, both of them. Haters don't care about that stuff, they are SO SUPERFICIAL, they only know what they see with their own eyes and they ignore everything else. Those haters could read Hwasa's lyrics all day long and will never learn anything, they tunnel-vision on hatred instead of trying to understand a Human Being.
This song deserves so much more hype !! Hwasa literally talked abt how it’s the song that’s received the least love in her tv show performance today but it 100% is because of what her company did because the song and production is 👌👌

The "no bra" part ia Hwasa's response to the blacklash she reveived after she was seen at the airport wearing a top without a bra underneath.. of course haters made a big fuss in the media about this. Good thing she doesn't care though 😂

The MV picks up where Maria left off and I think the I'm a B opening scene implies an alternate life for the Maria character where she commits suicide and is reborn as a bitch on wheels. The dress she wears at the beginning is the one she wore in the final scene of Maria when the MMM members join her. I think Hwasa is going for a groaner of a crude pun by showing Maria being born from a box, soaking wet with amniotic fluid. She's in full take no prisoners mode in I'm a B.
I thought I'm a B would be a hit but it didn't perform well on the k-charts. I also thought her dancing in I'm a B was even better than Maria, which earned her the 2020 MAMA solo dance performance award, but she wasn't even nominated for I'm a B. There's no accounting for taste and popularity but my taste always seems to run counter to what's popular. In my book Hwasa killed it with this song.
I'm very confused. What do you mean Hwasa isn't in the traditional dance scene? She's not the solo dancer in the dress, but she was definitely front and center in the group scene in the pants and top.

There is a reason she is saying "its frustrating, i just want to breathe, so i go no bra". Its related to a "scandal". She was on the airport and paparazzis took fotos and people realized she was wearing no bra under her clothes for some reason (she was in like chilling clothes). And she got a lot of bash for it. The song is basically her answer and she gave no statement to it :D
