The networks now are rolling with those small basic cable converters that have inhibited even basic subscribers from adding sets in residence. Sharing sat boxes on your buddy's account has become the new free cable.

@@survivalcomms I mean if the XTS5000's flashcode does not show that the radio has crypto and you install a UCM in the radio like you did here will the UCM work? As in if I were to go on ebay and buy an XTS5000 with a flashcode of 100008-000482-7 and buy a UCM with AES 256 algo on it, and a KFDtool keyloader will that all function with each other? Or will the radio not recognize the UCM card because it doesnt have the right flashcode indicating that it has a UCM?
The original one has been discontinued by motorola unfortunately . There are 3d printed ones available on ebay but the best bang for your buck is the thin tool in this set from harbour freight www.harborfreight.com/trim-and-molding-tool-set-5-piece-64126.html It works great and you get a bunch of other handy prying implements. @@redlife1176 It is a violation of rules of certain radio services. Depending on which radio service / frequency/ emission designator license you are operating under dictates useage. UCM modules are quite common , readily available, and this video was intended to be educational in nature and not an advocation of violating rules of one's particular operating authority. No legit xts5k has modat. They are out there but they are not factory flashed for such.
