    I too am impressed that Tim makes the point to know every person's name, and he knows in detail what every person does, and what they need to be productive and safe. Seems like a great manager and that factory seems to be a great place to work with a product they can be proud of. I definitely enjoyed the video.

    Very interesting to watch, but what I really found impressive was that the plant manager seemed to know every person's name along the line.

      My guess is that these employees are pretty well paid, and that many of them have been with the company for awhile. Still, impressive if he knows their names.

    Need, well organized, the plant manager is knowledgeable of plant design however the most impressive part of this plant is its commitment to safety. I especially like the idea that behaviors are analyzed and considered and training to change behaviors is implemented. The root cause analysis display is impressive and displays the relevant material for all to see.
    Congratulations on your significant accomplishments WRT Plant Safety your impressive hours worked w/o a lost time incident.
    It is apparent that attention to detail is important to everyone in the plant. This is the reason New Holland continues to be the choice of farmers throughout many countries in our world today. An impressive plant tour.
    My congratulations on your significant safety records. A shop with safety excellence as a goal always seem to be well organized, well managed and profitable. It is evident the plant employees are used to seeing the Plant Manager out in the plant. This is excellent management technique. When employees become used to seeing management in the plant they eventually return to doing their jobs like no one is observing them. Until this happens it is difficult to determine where employees need help to become successful with jobs.
    Very impressive plant tour.
    Best Wishes for continuing good work and adherence to plant safety.

    Neal, I applaud the plant manager's knowledge of the hands on part of the operation. He seems to have a WORKING knowledge of each step. Did you happen to ask his background? His dialect(accent) suggests, British for sure, but I heard some German and possibly Dutch influence in his speaking. He's been gathering knowledge from all over, I guess. Thanks for posting this!

    I like the spot where the tour guide is concerned about shooting the rollers because there is a perceived mess lol. I’m sure most of the viewers never noticed. It looks great to me that facility. What I’m impressed with is the attention to detail and the corporate pride. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy a machine from New Holland. But I’m not a farmer.

  • @pdbuilder8212
    @pdbuilder8212 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Well somebody goofed on my BC5070 had just over 700 bales through it when BANG AND BANG then it was DEAD
    Plate holding the wrist Pin to the bale packing head had fallen out ( bolts not torqued)
    First BANG was the connecting rod , second BANG was the feeder forks hitting the bale packing head ,which sheared the splined shaft off, think its a 1.25 inch shaft ( like a toothpick )
    Dealer service dept sent a tech up ,he cleaned the bale up with air nozzle ,found all sorts of bolts loose ,some ready to fsll out
    It's all fixed and running good now , but took them close to 3 months to get it back to me
    Not much quality control on that unit !!

    I have new Holland balers for many years. I even have a bar round baler still use it today but the newer they get the more they get cheaper made I’m not a big fan of the carrier in the new ones 10000 bales and there junk belts get out of line and rub the Carrier and cuts it into the loud gear nosies and have to be replaced I believe new Holland could do better but you can’t beat the old ones
    Thanks for the tour

  • @ronnieg6358
    @ronnieg6358 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very interesting tour.
    Why do they not make the side panels fit more closely to keep all the detritus away from the working parts.
    It really annoys me at the end of the season to have to clear several bagfulls of muck from the important areas. All the side panels do is to provide a space to proudly display their name!

    • @MessicksEquip
      @MessicksEquip  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They keep chaff out of the gearing. Hitting those areas with a leaf blower is part of daily inspection. Allowing accumulation is how you end up with a fire.

    • @ronnieg6358
      @ronnieg6358 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MessicksEquip If New Holland keep the chaff out of the gearing they are the only ones that do it. Designing a well fitting guard/cover would prevent fires without the need for daily leaf blowing. None of the balers I've seen have one.

      Aren't Kubota balers made by Kverneland? With Kvereland and their other brand Vicon there are (off the top of my head) over 40 years of baler experience.

    • @anoniem3002
      @anoniem3002 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@misterx243 the balers are made in Italy. The bought a company in Italy after the sold the factory in the Netherlands. The old Vicon balers are now sold by Kuhn. The old Vicon baler factory Just to be the biggest baler factory in Europ. The new factory in Italy is the old Gallagni factory and the have also lot of experience in balers.
