bought the Tactical edition yesterday, this watch 'cured' me from 'anxiety' of smartwatches (i.e all screen, fake digital hands, low battery life, become obsolete after 3, 2 or even 1 year).. wearing this watch u didnt even feel u r wearing a smartwatch, instead it feels like a G-Shock combined with Protrek Smart, or it has the same feeling as my venerable Casio SGW-400H. tried with many watches like amazfit GTR, fitness bands, Galaxy Watches and even Fenix 7x which I still keep, none of them can give that actual watch experience with the Crossover.
@@blacksamorai1 the actual watch experience for me is a watch that we can feel and use as a traditional watch. yes we have hybrids like withings, the vivomove etc but their functions are barebones. if you want a refreshing take on rugged 'smart'watch, the Crossover is for you bro. now i only charge my Crossover once monthly, that alone is enough reasoning. and its downsides, look my other replies. if u can live with that, go for it, preferably non solar version.
@@thesecret111 everything in Crossover UI is readable, watchfaces r downloadable via connect IQ though as for now not many. the analog hands are fun to watch as it interact with almost any button operation, and the way it moves as soon a notification arrive is surely a head turner. the downsides, low memory thus limit apps+watchfaces install to 12 i think. for me buying solar and tactical version a bit not worth as solar option barely add battery life(if using full smartwatch mode) as my experience go.
I am torn between this and the Fenix 7 Pro. Full Maps and that flashlight sound useful and reviews have a ton of praise for it. But I dont currently own a smart watch and have been using a GShock AWG100 for 10 years.
I have been researching Garmin watches for a few weeks now but really needed to see the actual product and get a taste of the OS but after visiting several retailers were not able to even see a real watch. So after much frustration realised why Apple has been able to take market share, CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE…so sad
Garmin, please take this concept and bring out a "Marq Crossover"! Got a Marq Commander Gen 1 and would love to have those hands. The Instinct Crossover has a bit too much "plastic" for my taste and the new Marq 2 with Amoled (no Always-on-Display) ist too "digital"...
Was this a mistake at 1:30? It says based on activity, sleep and HRV you will get a training readiness score (which is on 955, Fenix and Epix). Mine doesn’t have it. I have had it for almost three weeks. There is no readiness score.

I couldn't describe how disappointing that it won't arrive to Hungary before 2023 February! This watch is a must have for me! What's the point to release a watch then see the label: arriving in 5-8 weeks!? Soooo frustrating!
At one time, I really wanted one of their smart watches, but, they always seemed to be expensive for what they included. I feel that for the Garmin devices, they offer an excellent feature-to-cost benefit. Yes, they are not cheap, but worth every dollar, IMHO.
This video is misleading. I just talk to Garmin and there is no training readiness as mentioned starting at 1:32 in the video. It says it base it from sleep recovery, quality and training load and recovery which is how the Epix, 955 and Fenix line base their training readiness score but confirmed through a Garmin rep (Cody) this is not accurate. Very misleading.
Thank you for your comment. The readiness score we refer to in the video is not the same training readiness score that you will find in the fenix 7, epix Gen. 2 or Forerunner 955. What we are referring to is the HRV Status that allows you to gain a better understanding of your overall health, training and recovery through heart rate variability while you sleep, as well as your Acute Load.
Yes I have updated my other watches. It says “You will GET a readiness score”. I don’t “get” a readiness score. Not sure what you think a score is and how am I to determine my score if no number or score is given. Waking up with a “readiness score” is misleading. Sorry

I don't like it. It's not because it is analog. The analog design needs improvement. I loved the old tactical version, I would buy another one over this version any day.

Is it that good? I’m returning the GBD-H2000 and been reviewing a lot of crossover content as I feel it’s what I want in a smart traditional watch
I bought this one and it's yet to come! Is it worthy? Is the compass and all other things small, or can you select a bigger or different option view?

*The problem with this watch Garmin...* *It's too thick 15 to 16 mm that's just too fat on the wrist.*
