I think every Canadian who grew up with Much Music should definitely watch these videos! They are awesome! I still like to say "4:30, its not late, nah, its early" whenever someone asks the time! That Spin Doctors song was weird. So was "Numb" by U2, what a wacky, weird song! 1993 had quite a mixture of different genres on the charts, I guess that's why I loved the 90's so much, so much variety!
Awesome job on these videos and so much work! I really have enjoyed watching them and rediscovering songs I forgot I loved. I would love it if that data were out there for ChumFm30 countdown and YTV Hit List as well oh and MuchMoreMusic.
Thank you!! Some of the Chum Chart and MuchMoreMusic is out there and I'm planning to do those eventually. I too would LOVE to do a Hit List series since they often had such different music on it, but I've only been able to find one or two weeks of it from the 2000s :(
Watched all these uploads, great job, wanting more! Need to see what's on 94's list! Also weird how Nirvana broke through at the end of 1991 but not a heavy grunge impact on this particular chart.
@@fordprefect4728 Human Behaviour came out in '93 and Rolling Stone listed it in the Top 100 Videos of All Time THAT year. It was nominated for 6 MTV awards, but won none. I remember it being on heavy rotation on MM, so can't understand why it didn't chart. Even if it peaked at like 28 or something. So yeah, it's a good question, where IS Bjork?

Sleeping Sayellite by Tasin Archer is a very underrated song with so much meaning
Oh wow. I had totally forgotten about Cursed Female. Not a radio hit by any stretch of the imagination, but such a great video!

Much music is where I found snow and scritti politti. They never were played on MTV.

1994 is underway but I've been sick this week so it'll be a few days. Way more grunge and 90s Can-rock in 94 and 95!
didn't know Bobby Brown was that popular
You can see when grunge really started to take over.
And wow, "Today" by Smashing Pumpkins only peaked at 24?!
So many covers in 93.
I was 21 girl in 1993
Where's Bjork?
i dont think she hit it big over here for a few more yrs , 95 or 96.

I think it is odd how both "Plush" & "Vasoline" by STP go to #1, yet "Wicked Garden" & "Creep" doesn't chart at all.
Maybe there was already another song called creep
What’s Ren and Stimpy doing here 💀
