My son has just turned 10 and has been body sparring for the last year and now is actually sparring properly and I’ve had that head guard in my basket for the last few weeks so think I’m gonna bite the bullet and buy him it(he’s been using a head guard from the gym currently)

How’s the sizing? I had ordered a size XL when they first came out and it was super tight and I don’t even have that big of a head lol. Apparently customer service said they ran tighter than they wanted and they had to go back and re release them to make them fit a bit better.
Bought this headguard after watching reviews, hated it, returned it at a loss of shipping cost. Felt very cheap, like wearing a rubber tube is the best I can explain it and poorly fits even after sizing up its extremely tight. Not leather so my thought is it wont shaped to your face like others. From memory it was made in Pakistan, a trend due to increasing manufacturing costs. I found the size in a brand that changed from Thailand to Pakistan, the quality went down and the sizing was way off compared to the product previously bought.

If you dont have them already they lasted me around 2 months before the sole started unsticking but they do feel well to box in and very comfortable

Iv never known any headguard that protects you from a punch. They are meant to protect from head clashes .I use Rival though and this one looks like it would do the job well
They definitely protect the outside of the head from punches landing on skin
But as I always say headguards are in no way part of a boxers defence
Or bruising I still get bloodied after sparring with head gear
Sadly I bought the sparring gloves and the waste protector all in the same white and gold colour way just to find out the head gear part of the set is sold out 😔
wait on the headgear mate. I believe rival makes a new RHG100 headgear that has a synthetic leather type liner rather than the micro-suede liner they used to use and I swear it is the most comfortable headgear ive tried. I have sparred many rounds in a winning headgear and the new rival RHG100 and I would say that the shock absorbtion,visibility and comfort on both headgears is very comparable. My only critique of the RHG100 is that the chin strap uses a buckle instead of a plastic quick clip like Winning but that is just my preference as both of the headgears are top notch
I've had two of these headgears the one with the old liner and one with the new. The old suede like one started to leave bits of crud in my forehead after but stayed in place. The new one is clean but man does it ever slide around once i start sweating and take a punch. Do you have this problem and if so does anything correct it? Thanks

Comparing to rgh10, which has more shock absorption?

I've read reviews that question the implementation of D30 used on RHG10.. they say they felt more rattle and vibrations compared to a normal headgear
