Both beautiful & in pristine shape! I grew up in Central Pennsylvania, but I am English, been back in England most of the past 38 years. I remember seeing quite a few Sunbeam Alpines & Crickets, but not many saloon Arrows.. .plus I don't remember seeing ANY Simcas in Pennsylvania,& was not aware they were ever marketed there. However I do believe the late 70s to 1990 Plymouth Horizon & Dodge Omni hatchbacks were designed and developed by Simca,as were the similar Chrysler/Talbot Horizons,& sister Simca,in Europe. When I was living back in PA in 1990-1991 & had a friend with a 1980 Dodge Omni & a friend with a 1980 VW Rabbit/Golf(Pennsylvania made at that time for North America, although the first few years of sales there they were imported from Deutschland) & both of my friends' cars had the exact same VW Audi engine! I think it was a 1500 or 1600cc. By the way,do you know which Simca models were sold in The US or Canada in the 60s &/or early 70s?
@@AutoAtlanticaMy late father ordered a Capri 1600GT 70ish due to the strikes at Dagenham the car was about 6 months coming. He hated after 3 months he part XD it for his 1st Datsun also a J reg 70 . He once ordered in 1980 a brand new Datsun Skyline 240KGT V reg from ordering it to been made coming from Japan to Immingham then to Leeds to collecting it in 10 weeks he said at the time that's Japanese efficiency for you not Ford rubbish. The car before the Capri he also had to wait for due to strikes which was an F reg 2 door Cortina GT not sure if they were 1500 or 1600 . Regarding Capris they were a part of British life every family at 1 time had owned 1.
Great video and production. Robin is a fantastic guy and true enthusiast. I'm the guy in L.A. with four Arrow sedans of various marques.
Thank you for watching and commenting! Would love to talk to you about your cars sometime, sir!
@@AutoAtlanticaI'd love to, keep up the good work.
My brother.....

The Simca 1000 and 1100/1300 were both sold in the U.S.
My brother's 1st car was an F reg 68 Sunbeam Rapier in.76 as.a 17 years old In.Wakefield West Yorkshire, after that car he had 3 Capris on the Trott.
The Capri was certainly a lot more popular, I love the design of the Alpine though!
