Incredible in Captains and the Kings, at the beginning of his career, and in Gettysburg at the end. Lots of good work in between, and lucky he kept his young looks. He was in his 40s here, not his 20s.
I know half these locations. How they've changed the shops and vehicles. Damn. That American car showroom at the top of Goldhawk Road is still there, though it's half the size now.
70s/80s in london where I became streetwise. Recession but plenty of £ could be earnt unlike today. A bit of hindsight of this low tec time would of made a packet incomparrison to todays BB world. Good little film, If I recall my mates dad had a small part In this one. Mostly B actors with Niven as the draw. Note- Some of the cast were part of the soft/hard pawn scene. (Was Jon Bindon in this anyone?)
Richard Jordan died in Los Angeles, California of a brain tumor on August 30, 1993. He was only 56 years old. He was with Blair Brown and then Marcia Cross from Melrose Place.
Where are Elke's nude scenes ?. I'm sure glad I have this on original VHS. It's SO much more reliable than these channels that claim to run FULL films.
Joss Ackland played the warden who wants his toaster fixed. Many years later he played Soviet ambassador Andre Lysenko to Richard Jordan’s Jeffrey Pelt in The Hunt for Red October (“Andre, you’ve lost another submarine?”)
A bank would never hire an electrician for in house work and even they did , there would be a DEEP background check and verification process . So there goes the whole movie in the first ten minutes .
The music drives you up the wall. The story is super-lame. There was a DIRECTOR for this one??? There are more commercial interruptions than movie scenes -- thanks, Flick Vault. Best thing here are the Londontown locations of 1978-79. If you are not into those locations, best to skip it.
The music! I kept expecting Benny Hill to pull a cameo.
Yeah, very Benny Hill . . . .
Richard Jordan a talented actor gave some excellent performances in The friends of Eddie Coyle , Woody Allen's Interiors sadly passed at a young age.
He worked with Burt Lancaster in at least two movies- Valdez is Coming and Lawman.

Saw this on TV about 40 years ago. Maybe saw it a couple of times. I can’t remember the plot but remember enjoying it. Now going to have to Google it.
Well worth watching, and no adverts!
Brilliant film....been looking for it for ages!!
This is a great little movie. I’m glad to see it again.
Classic 😊

I have just started and know nothing about this film but I suspect Dudley Sutton is in it...
Nope😂
Cockadooby
Was Jon bindon one of the gang? I see some other soft pawn stars in cast?
It looks like the same leather jacket from
Friends of Eddie Coyle

Well he went from being a reporter - Jerry Westerby and sometime British secret agent to a Jail warden at the same time :-). Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Mr Tobias was supposed to be the big star of the eighties 😮What happened?
What an odd choice of music!

A man I know was employed illegally to dig the foundations for an extension to the police station!!!
That was in the 80's.
The film is just fine. 😊
Berkeley Square, although this song is wonderful, is not a very pretty square at all. In fact when I last saw it, it was quite an ugly place 🙄
Sadly a London and country that only exists in pictures
Too much flirting. Its silly
