About Revolutionary Girl Utena: The Adolescence of Utena:
All eyes are on Utena Tenjou, a mysterious transfer student to Ohtori Academy. But Utena's eyes seem to be fixed on one familiar face that stands out among the rest-Touga Kiryuu, Utena's childhood friend. Touga knows of Utena's past and possesses knowledge of the Mark of the Rose, a set of unique rings worn by those who compete for the hand of the Rose Bride. The Rose Bride, Himemiya Anthy, belongs to whomever wins her in a duel, and the one that wins all the duels is said to be given the power to bring revolution to the world. Utena is drawn into the duels, but Touga and their complicated history together may end up unraveling everything. Nothing is as it seems in this retelling of the original anime series.

In the show's reality, Dios was an illusion who only appeared to two people: Utena, who pursued him and the nobility he represented, and Akio, who shifted in and out of his form while coveting his power of revolution. Utena disappeared from the show's reality at the end, only to reappear in the movie's layer of that same reality, in a world where Akio is dead, but still in charge, Touga who clung to him is but a ghost and Nanami's existence at Ohtori Academy is an apocrypha. Utena shifting into Dios's form is proof that she has found what she was lacking in the show to become the Prince and fully open the true Rose Bride's coffin and pull her out of it; her feelings for Anthy have developed a selflessness beyond her self-indulgent desire to play the prince that she admitted to in her last moments in the show's reality. She is able to become her vehicle out of the closed world of Ohtori Academy and every layer of its anachronistic realities and thus, able to truly make it to the true castle, on the desolate horizon of the outside world, where the two of them must pave their own road forward.
I like your thinking, but the entire movie is about 'Killing the prince' witch is basically destroying gender norms, both the ones of the prince and the princess. Utena became the new prince of the academy during her fight with Juri, thus putting herself back in a harmfull gender role, allowing Akio, 'The prince' to take control over her and turn her into an object, similar to Anthy in the anime. Only by thruthfully killing the prince and abandoning the clothing that marks their roles as 'prince' and 'the princess' they can break free from Akios influence.

This kind of also reflects how Utena transforms into Touga when push comes to shove. She's only relentless under pressure, and compared to the TV series, sees Touga as her inspiration to fight, even as she knows in her heart that he lives on there when he's really no longer of this world.

I read Adolescence as a plot schemed by a liberated Anthy to lure Utena back into existence in her version of Ohtori.
I'm going to save utena but doing this a second time but I'm gonna remix some things so my brother is dead and also nanami isn't here and everything will work out perfectly.
