***** It is not, Azariah Kyras may certainly have been aided by the daemon bound in the Maledictum but in the end it was his deeds(Kyras and those Blood Ravens who supported him ensured that the conflicts crippling the Aurelian subsector would continue on and on, as long as these conflicts were never ended more and more blood would be shed in Khorne's name) and the fact that he nearly gave Khorne a whole chapter of Space Marines that allowed his ascension to Daemon Prince. Kyras pledged himself first to Ulkair, but when Gabriel Angelos released the Maledictum Daemon he found a new patron that could ensure his eventual ascension.
I love how nearly every other Chaos Antagonist in the DoW series calls the Emperor of Mankind "The False Emperor". And the fucking Khornite Greater Demon of all people calls the Emperor of Mankind "The CORPSE Emperor." It's as if he and a small hand full of others knows the Emperor actually died on the Golden Throne after fighting Horus.
+Cholly Good Khorne is stronger than Tzeentch, that's why. Khorne hates sorcery, but librarians is another story (tho Sindry Myr is another ironic story..)
+Limitess Tzeentch is the most powerful god of them all, even though Khorne was the first one to be born. At some point Tzeentch made a Crystal Staff, making him the strongest there was. Other god combined their forces to overthrow him and that would have devastated the galaxy, plus during the final battle he feared that they would overpower him and take his staff, so he shattered it and the rest is history. About psykers are not sorcerers. They use their inate ability to command the warp, where sorcerers use the words of power to lend its strength.
How is he the "savior of Tartarus"? The Blood Ravens left Tartarus a demon blasted hell with no civilians left alive. I mean it's not their fault the warp storm came but Tartarus isn't exactly habitable, it's like a mini eye of terror now.
A lot of commanders in Dawn of War are prone to this mistake, some give up vital tactical information on the communication channel they use to contact the enemy commander.
I often wonder what the Alpha Legion was doing there. I know that the developers probably chose them simply because they were involved in the original DOW I campaign but other than that I can't really think of any other reason.
I think the real reason why the Alpha Legion are in the Retribution campaign is because it wouldn't make sense for the Black Legion to point their guns at the Black Legion.

Plus Sindri usurped Lord Bale etc Lol though it must be fun trying to figure out who's a friend and who's a foe when they've the same uniform but either way it definitely can happen; even in the chaos legions since much like orks; power can play a huge part in internal clashes :)

He did it because he wanted to prove himself better then Horus who by all rights truly was a extremely powerful Daemon Prince which is basically what he was when he fought the Emperor. He just lacked a truly Daemonic form but he had all the powers of Daemonhood basically.... Abbadon wants to one up Horus.
Wouldn't becoming a Daemon Prince also affect his ability to operate freely within the material plane, which would in turn affect his ability to command the Long War?

Yes; that Daemon in the stone on Tartarus did have a lot to do with influencing Kyras to turn to Khorne after Gabriel inadvertently released it way back in Dawn of War I . I think the Daemon Prince in this game was a result of Kyras fusing with the Daemon of Khorne. Though apparently Kyras was already starting to show signs of corruption after being on Aurelia for so long and that Daemon of Khorne sealed his fait.
We want: -Captain Davian Thule -Captain Titus -General Sturn -Warboss Gorgutz -Kaptain Bluddflag And especially Gabriel Angelos. When im playing DoW 2 campaign by Space Marines i can feel their brotherly bond. Can someone tell me: Did you ever feel that bond when u was playing by Imperial Guard? It's my favourite race but i didn't feel it.
Because the Imperial Guard aren't brothers, really. Space Marines can be seen as literal/non-literal brothers, but I don't think Guardsmen really think about that. Besides, they didn't have any characters who could develop such bonds.
As my Chaos Persona, I shall say this. Kyras should have followed the ways of Chaos Undivided and not solely Khorne. Had he done so, he would have won. As a real human being and not as my Chaos persona, I shall say this. May Kyras rot eternally in the warp while may his victims and those who gave their lives to stop him finally find peace..... The reason he followed Khorne was cause of the Maledicitum Daemon from Dawn of War 1, whose presence is hinted at in this and is heavily implied to be fused with Kyras. There wasn’t much choice in which Chaos God he could follow.

No, Relic/GW released a clarification after Winter Assault which stated that the Order won and both are alive, however the Eldar "scratched" the Titan so thats why Alexander is after them in DC.
I never liked this ending, the Orbital Bombardment is a fitting death for 40K but Kyras and the Daemon of Tatrus felt so personal I wanted either Gabriel to get up or at least Diomedes to pick up God Splitter at the end of bury it in Kyras’s skull. That would have made for a fine ending, also the daemon of Tartarus should’ve been a Daemon of Tzeench.
Not sure how an extra fancy Thunder Hammer is supposed to kill a Daemon Prince/Greater Daemon. Also, why Tzeentch? Not every wizard has to or wants to seek out the Architect of Fate. Some men just wanna watch the world burn. Like Alfred Pennyworth apparently, knowing the context of that scene in the Dark Knight.
@@tylermcneeley3136 because it’s a Daemon Hammer of the Oreo Malleus. Literally called god splitter. It has a shard of the blade of the Avatar of Khaine in it. It’s literally made to kill greater daemons and has, it killed Sindri after his ascension. And the Blood Ravens are a Chapter obsessed with knowledge who have an abnormal amount of Psykers in their ranks and are heavily hinted to be Successors to the Thousand Sons, so Tzeench couldn’t be more fitting a god for them to fall to.

It's only implied that they are descended from a traitor legion, they don't specifically say the Thousand Sons. While I do believe that they did, it's really only a fan theory, since that just makes the most sense. And if it is true, just cause Magnus did it doesn't mean his sons will do so too.
Nothing wrong with an orbital strike finishing the job. Astartes are the masters of what they do, Dio knew it was the best way to get the job done and enough Blood Raven blood had been shed that day already...

This was the easiest battle in the entirety of DOW2 and it's expansions. All I had to do was prepare an army of lascannon devastators and have them stand at the entry while having the devastator related upgrades on the ancient and they do the rest without me having to touch the mouse and keyboard.
I read it on the Warhammer 40k wiki and to me it sort of makes sense of why the Farseer lived after the Winter Assualt and died in the Dark Crusadde in addition to Warlord Gorgutz to suriving Lorn V when he was driven off and escaping his fate in Soulstorm and that he is still at large. I'm also unsure for it varies on when you access the info of Lorn V and the Chaaracters from there so you would have to piece the other games and info together to see which one is canon. Myself I don't know.
@eldrad9999 if you clik on the Chaos Marines in the last mission, no mather who you play, you will read that they are from the Alpha Legion. Chaos Rising was The Black Legion, Kyras allies in Retribution are Alpha legion, and who would have brought the demon to cyrene if it wasnt them

@eldrad9999 Aramus fought the Black Legion in Chaos Rising, Angelos was just in the final battle. You fight the Alpha Legion in Retribution with the exception of the first level, but even then that's Diomedes, not Angelos.

Order - IG+Eldar. Taldeer succesfully destroyed the Necrons but damaged the Titan in the process. That infuriated Sturnn and made him feel manipulated so the Eldar quickly left. Gorgutz left the planet even before that and Crull died.
They have comissars which can kill you with out any word. When i played Dark Crusade as Lukas Alexander i though lord generals are not such assholes toward Guardsmens as comissars but most of them are. (it probably because they don't have execution ability)

Some argue that they are still loyal to their Emperor and that Sindri was actually the most tragic of heroes, for he gave his life in order to set in motion the events that lead up to this battle. It all could have gone according to his grand scheme, which involved sacrificing himself in order to make the future a littleless dark. Personally, I know ot what to think of this.

The population had been evacuated with the help of the Litany of Fury. Gabriel didn't save the planet, but at least, he saved the people.
Also the Tartarus daemon would have been much stronger as the elder wouldn’t have been able to kill Sindri

A lot of commanders in Dawn of War are prone to this mistake, some give up vital tactical information on the communication channel they use to contact the enemy commander.
I often wonder what the Alpha Legion was doing there. I know that the developers probably chose them simply because they were involved in the original DOW I campaign but other than that I can't really think of any other reason.
I think the real reason why the Alpha Legion are in the Retribution campaign is because it wouldn't make sense for the Black Legion to point their guns at the Black Legion.

Connacth1 Yeah; plus it's not like we didn't have Blood Ravens vs Blood Ravens in Retribution (Of course that was down to loyalists vs the corrupted) but even so it's still a motivation to point guns at brothers from the same chapter. Plus Sindri usurped Lord Bale etc Lol though it must be fun trying to figure out who's a friend and who's a foe when they've the same uniform but either way it definitely can happen; even in the chaos legions since much like orks; power can play a huge part in internal clashes :)

@delta3030 His reason was that he wanted to prove he was capable of securing Chaos' final victory without the final gift of Chaos. He did it because he wanted to prove himself better then Horus who by all rights truly was a extremely powerful Daemon Prince which is basically what he was when he fought the Emperor. He just lacked a truly Daemonic form but he had all the powers of Daemonhood basically.... Abbadon wants to one up Horus.
Wouldn't becoming a Daemon Prince also affect his ability to operate freely within the material plane, which would in turn affect his ability to command the Long War?
@delta3030 He refused Daemonhood. He is mortal, but he sometimes blurs the line between the two because he is so powerful.

Yes; that Daemon in the stone on Tartarus did have a lot to do with influencing Kyras to turn to Khorne after Gabriel inadvertently released it way back in Dawn of War I . I think the Daemon Prince in this game was a result of Kyras fusing with the Daemon of Khorne. Though apparently Kyras was already starting to show signs of corruption after being on Aurelia for so long and that Daemon of Khorne sealed his fait.

When im playing DoW 2 campaign by Space Marines i can feel their brotherly bond. Can someone tell me: Did you ever feel that bond when u was playing by Imperial Guard? It's my favourite race but i didn't feel it.

Because the Imperial Guard aren't brothers, really. Space Marines can be seen as literal/non-literal brothers, but I don't think Guardsmen really think about that. Besides, they didn't have any characters who could develop such bonds.
As my Chaos Persona, I shall say this. Kyras should have followed the ways of Chaos Undivided and not solely Khorne. Had he done so, he would have won.

The reason he followed Khorne was cause of the Maledicitum Daemon from Dawn of War 1, whose presence is hinted at in this and is heavily implied to be fused with Kyras. There wasn’t much choice in which Chaos God he could follow.

No, Relic/GW released a clarification after Winter Assault which stated that the Order won and both are alive, however the Eldar "scratched" the Titan so thats why Alexander is after them in DC.
I never liked this ending, the Orbital Bombardment is a fitting death for 40K but Kyras and the Daemon of Tatrus felt so personal I wanted either Gabriel to get up or at least Diomedes to pick up God Splitter at the end of bury it in Kyras’s skull. That would have made for a fine ending, also the daemon of Tartarus should’ve been a Daemon of Tzeench.
Not sure how an extra fancy Thunder Hammer is supposed to kill a Daemon Prince/Greater Daemon. Also, why Tzeentch? Not every wizard has to or wants to seek out the Architect of Fate. Some men just wanna watch the world burn. Like Alfred Pennyworth apparently, knowing the context of that scene in the Dark Knight.
@@tylermcneeley3136 because it’s a Daemon Hammer of the Oreo Malleus. Literally called god splitter. It has a shard of the blade of the Avatar of Khaine in it. It’s literally made to kill greater daemons and has, it killed Sindri after his ascension. And the Blood Ravens are a Chapter obsessed with knowledge who have an abnormal amount of Psykers in their ranks and are heavily hinted to be Successors to the Thousand Sons, so Tzeench couldn’t be more fitting a god for them to fall to.

It's only implied that they are descended from a traitor legion, they don't specifically say the Thousand Sons. While I do believe that they did, it's really only a fan theory, since that just makes the most sense.
And if it is true, just cause Magnus did it doesn't mean his sons will do so too.

This was the easiest battle in the entirety of DOW2 and it's expansions. All I had to do was prepare an army of lascannon devastators and have them stand at the entry while having the devastator related upgrades on the ancient and they do the rest without me having to touch the mouse and keyboard.
Avitus was the traitor, Thaddeus just went crazy like Force Commander Hair Gel after being declared rogue.
The daemon IS lying, btw. The Emperor is alive and... not so well.
I read it on the Warhammer 40k wiki and to me it sort of makes sense of why the Farseer lived after the Winter Assualt and died in the Dark Crusadde in addition to Warlord Gorgutz to suriving Lorn V when he was driven off and escaping his fate in Soulstorm and that he is still at large. I'm also unsure for it varies on when you access the info of Lorn V and the Chaaracters from there so you would have to piece the other games and info together to see which one is canon. Myself I don't know.

Chaos Rising was The Black Legion, Kyras allies in Retribution are Alpha legion, and who would have brought the demon to cyrene if it wasnt them

Aramus fought the Black Legion in Chaos Rising, Angelos was just in the final battle.
You fight the Alpha Legion in Retribution with the exception of the first level, but even then that's Diomedes, not Angelos.
@louie97ation I know not. Maybe it's because they were around in the first DOW when that daemon was ultimately released or something...? Either way, this is a blatan misrepresentation of what this legion should behave like.

Order - IG+Eldar. Taldeer succesfully destroyed the Necrons but damaged the Titan in the process. That infuriated Sturnn and made him feel manipulated so the Eldar quickly left. Gorgutz left the planet even before that and Crull died.

Yeah, combination of Order endings is canon - aka they didnt let each other to die outside the shield but parted ways soon after.
They have comissars which can kill you with out any word. When i played Dark Crusade as Lukas Alexander i though lord generals are not such assholes toward Guardsmens as comissars but most of them are. (it probably because they don't have execution ability)
Not sure if anyone did the tutorial, but in that you command gabriel and Jonah to reach the crater. thought it was pretty neat.
@Cocarat206 everyone with basic warhammer 40k knowledge knows that khorne hates psykers, he would have butchered kyras instead of granting him daemonhood but the promise of sacrifice of an entire adeptus astartes chapter is too good to refuse even though it was made by a powerful psyker
@louie97ation yeah... IF they were even corrupted by Chaos. Some argue that they are still loyal to their Emperor and that Sindri was actually the most tragic of heroes, for he gave his life in order to set in motion the events that lead up to this battle. It all could have gone according to his grand scheme, which involved sacrificing himself in order to make the future a littleless dark. Personally, I know ot what to think of this.
