I'm HERE! Our Pregnancy Journey Update (with a BIG SURPRISE), Tulip Planting, & Long List of To-Dos!

- Garden Gals and Guys, it's great to be back "with" you again! It has been a very eventful couple months that I've been offline, but I'm happy to say that our story has turned around for the better today I'm sharing with you what has transpired during my absence and our pregnancy journey.
I felt it was important to share my story to fill you in on why I was off TH-cam for an extended period of time, but more importantly, if any of you or your loved ones are in a position similar to what we were, I hope to give you hope, empathy, and encouragement that you're not alone in pregnancy loss and/or secondary infertility. If this is you, I hope and pray that your miracle(s) happen for you as well.
I also dive into part of the LONG list of "To-Dos" that I've got lined up for the garden. I'm a bit behind, but it'll all work out and I'm giving myself the grace to get these things done as I'm able! Fortunately, my husband was able to plant some of our landscape tulips in the ground and I caught some of that on video, which I share with you, so you can see how we plant our landscape tulips. I also was able to pick up some compost for the remainder of the tulips I have left, which is near 800, and a new water sprayer from the garden center (a little progress made there)! Lastly, I DID manage to order my seeds last week from Johnny's while I had COVID, SO I'm hoping to get things rolling and have much more content for you in the very near future!

Such good news to hear about your twin girls. The garden will be fine.
For future reference tulip and daffodil bulbs contain everything they need to make a complete flowering plant. Bulb food is not needed at this point. The time to fertilize them are once the blooms are finished. Then you can top dress the tulip bed with the bulb food.

Oh Steph! Listening to you in my car this morning, i was so emotional with you, especially you re-living when they told you twins, i drove right past my work building!! Lol It is just so wonderful! I had 2 miscarriages 3 or 4 months apart when my daughter was 2. Then, when i found out i was pregnant again, talk about trepidation...Oh my Gosh, so nervewreckingl. But, i had my Rainbow Baby Boy, Michael, in June of 2010. Bless all of you i am so happy for your family!

Consider using the winter sowing method with jugs and seeds. Ask your friends to drop off jugs. That way the seeds and jugs can take care of themselves.
I’ve had terrible luck with that unfortunately. It’s more me than the method. The method is brilliant. I just never get it quite right!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Baby girl clothes are so fun!! You're going to be a great girl mom, for sure. HG is no joke!! I hope you're on the other side of it and that the fluids make you feel so much better. my vote is seed haul :) I haven't come back to videos since having my baby 6 months ago. It's hard. No pressure!! You go at your own pace. I did use the garden as a respite for sure during the newborn phase. I was sneaking out at 10 PM picking flowers and veggies last summer haha. I'm trying to rally and start some seeds this week myself.

I have been thinking of you. I figured it was just a weather problem for you. I am sorry it was so much worse for you AND extremely happy for you how it turned out. I had been thinking about you lately, wondering what had been happening for you - life comes at us all, so I hoped things would be okay for you. But wow, that is a lot that has happened, and congrats on the pregnancy!! Being parents to twins just feels like you are extra blessed in my opinion, amazing. There will always be more gardening seasons, it's totally understandable that there may be lesser activities in that area t his year!

Was wondering what had happened to you, so sorry that you had a miscarriage. Then I'm thankful that I have not had that virus yet. I was glad to hear that now you are going to have twins. You have a good husband to help you plant your bulbs. I have a Snapdragon experiment going on, I Have 2 window boxes they looked fine till we had that sub-zero tempeture go through. I did not cover them, today it was 51 degrees crazy weather. Still have the fall seeds I collected in the garage, Hope to see your video soon.

Ooof! Definitely take it easy. I have H.G. as well and it's pretty bad. Luckily when the babies come out it goes away. Eat very small meals at a time.
