I'm beginning to think you could fix a rainy day.
If you had Toy Robot repair Shop open to the Public.
This Toy would be operating.
And it would be the First thing they see😊
It's a Cheap and cheery
Toy For a toddlers 😊
I wanted one when I was little and I remember that display at the stores in the mall.
They were fun to watch.
Woolworth’s at the mall you say. That takes me back. They’re definitely still around but not in the US. That’s a resourceful repair you made
It's not the same Woolworth's.
@@RandiRain I dunno it sells clothes and toys, whats so different about it other than presentation?
That is clever. I hope kids still get to play with things like this, not just watch them on a screen.🤣
And you're right, hard to see how that train ever had clearance with the amount you took out. If the plastic shrunk that much surely the tracks wouldn't have lined up originally. The whole thing must have shrunk just the right amount that you were able to fix it with that modification.
Someone else said they had one and it was warped from the beginning.
My kid brother had one of these 🚂. I think it was 1979'ish and was warped pretty much from the start. Mom took us to Woolworths a lot. My favorite part was getting lunch at the counter and seeing the preparation.
I believe it was warped. Not the best plastic. I remember Woolworth's had stuff no one else did.
Another fantastic job. I enjoy watching your videos on repairing old toys and games. Wish i had the ability to do that.
Thank you very much
Love it !
This is fantastic! Love this toy, beautiful restoration too. Great idea with the graphite powder, I've found Silicone Oil is my favourite plastics lubricant, sometimes sold as 'shock oil' for RC car suspensions. Works great at lubricating and quietening mechanism of many types and won't degrade any plastic.
Back when I restored the Trip Over Traps game, there was a very light piece that used gravity to drop after being pushed up. Oil was too sticky, that's when I started using graphite.
I remember the "Tuneyville" Choo Choo Train, where you dropped in a record into the slot and it played a song.
Is that the one with the plastic records that is basically a music box?
@@RandiRain Yes, it was. And there was a toggle switch on the unit itself that turned it on/off.
Nice job on the restoration.
Thanks 👍
Hey Rand I share this with Vintage Restoration Group on Face Book 😊
❤🏁🌈🙌most impressive
Thank you
Hey Rand did you graphite like you spray on Locks or a Different type like Artist
Graphite??
Same stuff you squirt in locks.
@@RandiRainI’m a new subscriber, can you share the best places/resources for buying gears to have a supply of them. I saw some on Amazon but wasn’t sure what the best assortments to buy were or if there are better sources. Thanks for any guidance. Joe
you should put mercury inside and left it in the street
Hi Randi, lovely stuff as usual .... Maybe time to invest in a new camera? ... video quality.... 😕
Why? It's 1080. You need toys in 4k?
Camera seems fine but if you happened to watch it as soon as it uploaded, sometimes the 1080 hasn't uploaded and your watching a lower bitrate while YT processes.
