Awesome day. My wife and I live 3 miles from the Tejas ramp and plan to go find some of those slabs. I’ve bass fished for years and have never really crappie fished but looks like a lot of fun for my wife and I.
You are 3 mi. from one of the CRAPPIEST lakes in the USA imo!!!! I’m a back-slidden bass fisherman myself😂 It took Miss Pam 40 yrs to make me crappie fish. 4 yrs now&I love it❤️🎣
Love Pam's shirt.....GEAUX TIGERS I am from south Louisiana and my daughter was in Tiger Band when they won National Championship in 2003....History may repeat itself in 2 weeks
I spent 2 days at Buckhorn Creek C G on Lake of the Pines this summer on my way to Yellowstone and had no idea this was a slab crappie lake. Just might have to go back. Nice fish and awesome fishing partner. Enjoyed the video...Pam is smoking em......must be that LSU purple shirt
Yeah buddy lop is a premier lake for sure! Only negative is the crowds & it gets nasty with just a little wind. And I think ALL of Pams shirts must be lucky😂😂😂 GOD BLESS& GO FISH
Pam kept you jumping ! It amazes me at the quality of the fish in that lake . Great Video! You commented that you weren’t at 500 subscribes in this video and are over 4000 now !! God is so Good to us !! 🙏🏼♥️
Awesome! Miss Pam & I have made some crazy memories with ours and more to come. Your gonna love it❤️ Keep checking when I hit 500 subs I’m giving away another ACC🎣
That was my first time to give it a try & it worked great for us as you could see! Only had a couple times that it wrapped up but hey that’s fishin right? Let me know how it works for you. Thanks for watchin. GOD BLESS&GO FISH!!!
Awesome. I love the bass tournaments but it does take its toll on the body. My wife and I are definitely gonna get some time on the water. I have been looking at the different live systems out there and will get one when the funds allow.
Nice fish for sure, I am a new crappie fisherman , have you ever found shallow crappie in the winter like in 2 to 4 foot of water. In our local lake there is a shallow pocket of water that loads up with shad, crappie, bream and big bass.
Thankyou David for watching! My theory is crappie will always be near the GROCERY STORE. Before I got livescope I looked for big wads of Shad. The crappie were always lurking beneath👍 And to answer your question I did catch crappie just like you described one January. It was a small 2acre pocket with a 100 foot wide entrance from main lake. 6-8 feet deep & loaded with crappie🤷🏻♂️
Your exactly right! I have fed the wife & me on one of those fatties many times. I have been doing a filet give away every month for the last 4 yrs. Everyone deserves a chance to enjoy these tasty things❤️
Good day bud! I like the slip sinker. I have been kinda doing the same thing but I have been using a 1/2oz split shot to get it down faster and have better control and easier to see on LS. Seems like when I use a 1/2oz jig head alone I don’t catch as many. Guess it doesn’t have as much action as 1/8oz. Great minds.
Thanks for watching Clint! Sorry if I confused you but I’m using a 1/2 oz egg sinker to get the jig down. The jig itself is only 1/8 oz & I may try a 1/16 jig as well. I only use the 1/2 while the fish are 20+ feet deep. HAPPY NEW YR& GO FISH🎣
It’s a 1&1/2 hr drive for me but worth every mile👍 Thankyou for subscribing. Keep a check on my site. When I hit 500 I’m giving away another ACC CRAPPIE STIX
Thanks Charlie I use 1/4 Oz bullet or some folks call them worm sinkers. I never could see your Rod tips just wondering. I couldn’t imagine putting 1/2 Oz on but hey it put some slabs in the boat.
That was my first time to try that technique Bennie. I normally just use a 1/4 or 1/8 oz jig & 2 small split shot spaced 18” each above jig. There only purpose is to keep visual on my jig. The 1/2 oz is just while these fish are 20-25 ft deep. So far I’m happy with its performance👍 One more thing on the plus side. I snagged a limb 3-4 times & that big honkin egg weight freed me right up😂 GO FISH🎣
Thankyou so much Mark! I don’t guide or tournament fish. Just an old dude that LOVES to fish and hopefully help a few anglers. Comments like yours fire me up👍 I just started the TH-cam thing so please share. Also, I gave away a ACC CRAPPIE STIX on my first 100 subs and will give away another after 500. Thanks again. GOD BLESS❤️&GO FISH🎣
Sir, How do you feel about "Drop Shot Rigs" where your lure is about 3 feet about the weight? Also do you prefer a double rig or just a weight and 1 jig? You're videos are about to make me into a monster. You are constantly catching some of the biggest Crappie consistently... I N S A N E!!! Where do I book a trip??????????????????
Thankyou for watching. I’m going to put 2 links here if your interested. The manual (hand operated is ALL ABOARD the foot control is by CORNFIELD CRAPPIE. I love them both but the foot control is my favorite www.cornfieldcrappiegear.com/ DISCOUNT CODE: GF5 thebassboatladder.com/ DISCOUNT CODE: GFC5

Those were some beautiful crappie, huge shoulders. Looks like one of those would be dinner for two.

That was a great day, don't know why anyone would give you a thumbs down. Must be some miserable folks out there, they should just go fish.
Thanku for your support! I agree. Some people would feel better if they would just GO FISH😊🎣
Good fishing
Thankyou for watching Sean! Hope you will stay tuned for more🎣
If I put a weight on my 12 foot ACC crappie stick it bends down at the tip. OBVIOUSLY you guys slayed them does that happen to your Rod tip. Thanks
Bennie I’m not sure mainly because I’m watching the fish. But I’m sure it does a little. I’m using 1/2 oz what are you using?
