The amount of times you were disappointed/surprised at a low grade just goes to show how much validity Raffi's video has about being done with grading.
Jake can you do an update video on the worst offenders from this sub? Like maybe you missed some indents or other kind of damages? If not then psa is really all over the place.
Great return, so many amazing cards. Have you ever thought of setting up your own selling website to sell some of your slabs? Feel like that would help cut down on all the eBay fees and most people sell on eBay because they don’t have the platform to reach people. Great content as always!
That holo japanese Skarmory has a dent at the front side of the card, in the middle. The dent is on the japanese text at the 20 damage for 1 energy attack. Look at 40:03
I've been telling people for quite some time, probably half of PSA's staff is relatively new hires and they are under new ownership. It's not the same company as it used to be. Things might smooth out a bit more in a year or so but idk my expectations are tempered.
Kinda looked like the 1st ed Chansey and Muk were marred by some pesky binder ring dents(back top left for Chansey, front bottom left for Muk). So subtle yet so destructive. The greatest enemy of my eBay buys.
PSA cards not long ago used to be 12euro a card, then 20euro so I thought it was 20euro new price. But I'm being told it's 66$ orso.. thats insane, makes almost no card worth grading and makes it worth looking into cards grades before as they might now be underpriced. Not to mention PSA slacking big time recently. This is just gonna be another push towards the random grading company's
That 1st ed Muk definitely deserved more than a 5! Looked closer to an 8+ from a screen. Either way great vid, like the pov style vid and picture quality looks pretty nice!
Check for some bends/dents on those low grades my dude! On the Aerodactyl there was a line running through the Ancient Wind text, but might've been on the case.
I recently had a similar experience with PSA. Sent in two sets of post promos they all got 10s but one got a six and for the life of me I can’t find why. Normally 6 means indent or crease but I can’t find anything. Seems very weird to me.
Can u make a video how u decide what grade a carf is bc i didnt see any whitening id be expexting 10s on all of those. Makes me nervous to gradr. Can u do an in depth video?
Not sure if you sell on eBay, but it would be nice to have a link to your eBay store, tough to find trustworthy sellers, and your definitely trustworthy.
I cant find old cards like this without atleast a little whitening and it makes me not want to grade bc i think ill get 5s can someone shed more light on grades u csn get with minimal whitening lets say on one corner. Like the kind u csn only see at certain angles
Hi guys girls and jake, really cools cards, as I said before loving the time wizard and the dbz 😍😍😍 as I've not even seen them before. My comment is not related to the video. How would someone in England go about getting cards to psa? Pros and cons at this time with pricing and if I can even get my cards there
Sick return. Hey can you tell me the exact name of the packs these gold foil dbz cards came from? I like dbs cards but personally they don’t do it for me like these gold foils have been. What is the sets called exactly? I wanna open some packs
I sent in a Charizard V alt art from Brilliant Stars that I pulled and it got a 6 :(. Looking at it the centering isn't that great but I would have been happier with a 7 even though it doesn't really matter.
Why do we send cards to a company that gives expensive cards, lower grades to keep population reports down even though they are gem mint? I truly dont know. I think they are giving us bad grades cause they know we do crack, and will resub when bulk reopens. Just another crash grab. Still terrible business practice. Dan said it the other day, we just want our deserved 10's. And CGC may be the company if they are giving 10's to deserved cards. Bro... that charizard with the dent that got an 8.5... that's how they make us feel better I guess. 🤣
Was enjoying the video, but you really let the negativity get the better of you there man... really came across as very whiny and entitled.. 'all of these cards are the same quality' is not really something you can judge with a quick 10 second scan of each card. I get that sometimes PSA do make mistakes, and there is always gonna be some variability with any grading, but it feels like some people genuinely think that grading is just checking the corners and centering and deciding on 9 or 10...
PSA does a quick sub 30 second look per card, is that really much better? Seems like they intentionally judge higher value/rarer cards more harshly, when every card regardless of what it is should get the same treatment if they did it properly. And nearly impossible to see damage bringing a card immediately to a 5 is not very agreeable of a practice
@@Pabmyster Are you an ex-PSA employee? How do you know what process they have? It seems like that sure, but that's just human psychology remembering negative outcomes more than positive. In this submission alone he got some higher than expected grades on valuable cards.. as for the 5, that's their scale man. I can't say for sure but I would bet that card has a ding on it somewhere and that's always dropped cards down to 6s or lower... personally I think it's a bit extreme too but it's not like that's a new thing
@@gonecammin grading in general is way too subjective which is the main problem. How many of those cards did they not find an invisible dent on and just let pass through? And yes it's also human psychology, whether subconsciously or on purpose, to look at a low value card with less care since they have over a million cards to go through still. It's simple math that I saw someone calculated the other day, based on their announced monthly throughput of graded cards and their number of employees how long they spend on each card has to be under 35 seconds
Lauren and I took a long time to try to figure out what those gold DBZ cards were when we subbed them ha

That Skarmory 5 def had a dent on the bottom back side of the card - hope that helps identify why it got the 5! Awesome cards Jake

I don't see any binder ring dents but I might crack one or two and take a closer look under the light.

Very solid grade on the Top Thirty-Two worlds promo!
That 1st ed Muk definitely deserved more than a 5! Looked closer to an 8+ from a screen. Either way great vid, like the pov style vid and picture quality looks pretty nice!
I love the Japanese Expedition and Vending sets - two of my favorite
Wow that Staryu reverse is amazing, Omastar is fantastic too. ooooo the nidoran :D
Great vid, lol'd at the skyridge aerodactyl reaction tho.
I know the feeling all too well haha

The base set cards, does psa grade harshly for slivering from factory?

Jake with PSA return videos? 🍿
Soon he’ll start doing react videos
@@TheOldeCardShoppe 😆
we love it
The Bandai Yugioh is probably the only Yugioh I would collect.
Agreed, but man I loved yugioh

Love! that time wizard. I never knew that card existed😅
Take closer look at the 5’s and 6’s. It’s much more likely that you missed a hard to see dent/damage rather than PSA inventing a grade.
Atp I’m scared to submit, seems like everyone is getting arbitrary grades rn
10 on the Vivid Voltage Reverse Rare Charizard POG!
3/4 of the way through a 5th of jack when pre-grading some of these? lol jk great stuff man love the bandai!

I tried to look it up. Maybe the "dragon ball z 1998 artbox series 2".
I sent in a Charizard V alt art from Brilliant Stars that I pulled and it got a 6 :(. Looking at it the centering isn't that great but I would have been happier with a 7 even though it doesn't really matter.
It’s not a big PSA opening without a little complaining
Those yugioh cards go crazy, imma need to scoop some freal.
The question is , will there be any XY Evolution cards ?? 😆
"PSA did this", might be the most commonly said thing on a return. Otherwise nice return.
😂
