- A BR vid now from the North West area chasing the Regional Railways loco hauled workings and filming whatever else was around too! Traction shown is 31, 37, 47, HST, DMU (Met-Cam's), 142 (yes, i know you luv 'em!), 156 & 158 on passenger, parcels and freight workings at Llandudno Junction, Manchester Victoria and Preston. The post office conveyor bridge is still there at Preston. I remember when it was a hive of activity getting ready for the parcels trains to arrive. Sadly all gone now.
Look at the length of them trains! So many carriages! Would kill for something as long as them now instead of the 2 carriage bone shaker.
Now be fair, we do have the odd 3 car turn up at Bangor and the a few Vomiters to Euston which are a massive 5 cars!!! lol
It looks like that some of the Regional livery stock is repainted NSE stock with the red stripe replaced with a blue stripe. 🤔
Correct! Some of the old NSE West of England line MkII's were sent north to Regional Railways. I recognised some of the numbers when bashing locos in the North West.

Thank you. North Wales had quite a bit of variety in the 1990s and still had semaphore signalling all the way along until last year. Now the old Absolute Block signalling is only in place from Llandudno Junction to Holyhead and Llandudno, they ran out of money to finish the line off. Tha's why the last train from Llandudno is 21.44 as there is no night shift there and at Deganwy.
Soi Buakhao sounds about right for the modern railway. I am so pleased you captured these happy times. It is just a sterile railway now taken over by fat cats and incompetent companies like Neglect Rail.

That's when trains were trains and it was joy to see.
Nowadays it's just over rated over crowded coffins on bogies.
Bring back locomotive and coaches.
Happily TPE are! Push-pull 68's & Mk5 coaches are returning to the Trans-Pennine route. As modern locos go i think the 68's thrash quite well. I look forward to using them to storm across the Pennines to see friends in Leeds.

I live about 10 mins away from huddersfield and I have heard them thrashing up the coln valley late at night early hours on test runs.
Also seen them on TH-cam lately they look quite smart.
